Reviews of Moda S-Line
"For the last two years going on three I have nothing but great things to say about the townhomes and the property management team. They have always been quick with responding to any maintenance issues are always flexible with repairs on your schedule. In comparison to many other property management companies to have to deal with they make it a breeze and stress free. The townhomes are modern yet warm and the tall ceilings bring a lot of natural light into each room. The location is also hard to beat being directly on the tram line which brings you right into Sugarhouse. It is a great place to call home."
"I lived here for 5 years with two other roommates. Similar to the others who have left a review we enjoyed the property until we moved out. A month after we moved out we received an invoice out of the blue for carpet replacement and paint totaling a little over $2,000. Given that we lived there for so long there was normal wear and tear, but nothing that we believed would warrant a full replacement. Upon seeing this we reached out to the property for them to provide proof of damage exceeding normal wear and tear. It has been 2 weeks since we reached out and we have yet to receive an explanation or proof. Trying to get ahold of someone is near impossible as anytime we call, the answering service says the property is unavailable and email responses have been non-existant. I do not recommend anyone rent from them as they clearly do not do business in good faith and are trying to charge tenants for expenses to which they are not responsible."
"For last a few days, they just over charge me for paying their cleaning and painting fee, I put the key on the table but they still charge me because they see they don’t see it lol. In the end, they charge me over 1000 for cleaning and painting and some sort of stuff, and when I call them for refunding detail there’s nobody accept the call, I really don’t suggest rent in here unless they change those of things"
"My girlfriend and I had a very similar experience to Cory Jez and his family. We lived here for two years and enjoyed the townhome. Maintenance was always super helpful and quick. Unfortunately, when we moved out we got hit with an $850 bill. We did not deep clean our unit prior to move out because we were told we would have to pay a mandatory cleaning fee. The property manager chose to repaint the entire unit due to scuff marks, which we felt fall under the definition of normal wear and tear. After a few emails back and forth regarding this bill, we were threatened with collections and had to pay. Under the lease, normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the landlord and not the tenant, but we ultimately paid for the entire unit to be repainted."
"My wife and I lived here three years, and we by in-large enjoyed living at this property. We recently moved cross-country for work and unfortunately had a dishonest experience with property management during the move-out process. Our unit had an accent wall and we called to ask if they had touch-up paint so that we could properly repair holes in the walls from items we had hung. The property manager informed up that the walls would be re-painted anyways and all we needed to do was spacle the holes, which we did. Fast forward to receiving our final bill and we received a $250 charge for repairs to the accent wall. Upon contacting the (new!) property manager, we were told that because we didn't have the earlier conversation in writing, there was nothing that could be done about the charge. Unfortunately, a review like this is the only recourse consumers often have in situations like these. While we enjoyed the unit for most of our three years, out of principle, I can't recommend that anybody do business with a company which does not appear to run their business in good faith."
