Reviews of Construction Realty, Inc.
"If you need a cheap place to live, you’ll find it—the key point here is cheap. From the residences themselves to the general attitude of management, this place is the roach motel of SLC apartments. I had a pipe burst in the ceiling; it took them three days to get someone to fix it. They regularly allow their landscaping crews to not mow the lawn, creating a backyard haven for small snakes. My fireplace hasn’t worked since the day I moved in, nor do the blinds. But I certainly have to keep paying for it all. You’d be amazed at the amount of broken glass around the neighborhood. My only guess is there’s a group of pirates who sail around every night, shattering beer bottles in a deep-seated vendetta against recycling. I’ve had two tires go flat since moving here and I don’t even drive much. Even more prevalent than the broken glass is the vast amount of general trash strewn about. It’s as if people drag their bins to the curb, flip them upside down, and leave the remnants on the ground until a storm blows it away. When someone moves out, you’ll see their old stained mattresses and broken furniture sitting outside for weeks, at best. All of this lovely ambience is allowed with apparent impunity from management. There’s a pack of free range dogs (with one free range rabbit, which I’ll admit, is pretty cool) that run amuck, using neighborhood lawns like festival porta potties, completely free of owner supervision. I’ve also seen two standoffs with police within a two block radius of my house, but those are stories for another rant. But...it’s cheap. Good luck."
"We stayed at Rachel Manor for a year and the apartment itself is very outdated. The carpets were filthy, the bathroom had mold/grime, and our oven only worked 50% of the time. Management was very responsive, however nothing was ever actually fixed. The location is a little sketch. We have had homeless stay the night in the stairwell several times. There was also miscommunication in the contract and we were returned very little of our original $500+ deposit. They charged us immediately upon move in and we ended up accruing late fees because they did not communicate to us that it would be due right away. It's also very easy to hear neighbors through the walls. The only nice thing about the apartment was the month to month lease agreement so we had no issues leaving."
"I’ve lived in Jean Larie for over two years. The management is great. Clear communication and quick to resolve maintenance issues. The location is wonderful, close to everything you’d need and about ten minutes from downtown. The apartment itself is clean, well lit, with plenty of storage. My only compliant is the thinness of the walls. You can hear conversations and music coming from every direction. I don’t think I had loud neighbors, the walls really are just that thin. If you have a heavy footed upstairs neighbor, the floorboards squeak quite a bit and will shake your light fixtures."
"I lived in one of their apartments for over a year. The apartments are clean and well maintained. During my whole experience with them, they have always been fair. They do a good job of communicating information to me and what is expected. No surprises or BS. They are also pretty good when it comes to maintenance. Overall, I would say they are great landlords, no complaints."

They did a good job of communicating information to me and what was expected. No surprises or BS. They were also pretty good when it came to maintenance. When it came time to move out, I received most of my deposit back and only lost a little for things I knew were my responsibility. Overall, I would say they were great landlords, no complaints."
