Reviews of Meridian
"I moved in at the end of September and am still transitioning my possessions to my suiting but am very happy with the overall experience of living here. Tannor and Sidney have consistently been exceptionally helpful in dealing with all my needs and requests and look forward to a positive experience here and as a resident of Salt Lake City."
"At first when I moved here with my boyfriend we were so excited and thought it was absolutely amazing, little did we know we had just entered into a nightmare horror show. We had friends who also lived in the complex who constantly complained how horrible the living situation was which we couldn’t believe was true until we actually lived there. First of all, there is NO parking. I repeat, do NOT expect to be able to park at the apartment you pay 2K a month for. The manager had told us they did not have enough parking spaces per units and they knew that before even building and went ahead anyway. They don’t care and they have a contract with the towing company to make money off of every car towed so they try to tow you and will at all costs. we have been towed out of our own parking space and lost over $1500 in towing fees. You would think they would let people use the vacant apartments spaces but no, they want their money. you can get on a “list” for an extra space, but in a year of living we never got one. One of our neighbors did though and let us know that if you are nice to Tanner you will receive special treatment and they got another space easily as long as they wouldn’t tell anyone and knowingly had extra pets but since they were buddies he ignored it. VERY PROFESSIONAL. I watched my moms dog for a day while she was at work and got fined almost $200. Not only do they constantly look for problems to complain about and cite you for, the amenities are in terrible condition and it’s marketed at a “luxury building” when they do the LEAST to accommodate and comfort the people who pay exuberant amounts of rent to live in the worst area in slc! expect homeless everywhere and not feeling safe to take your dog out at night. The receptionist is also so rude and when i had family coming to see me and go in to leave something in the lobby that i would be picking up in FIVE MINUTES she was extremely rude which her treatment of them was brought up to me and it was completely embarrassing since it was my building who was lacked class and she usually does have RBF and treats everyone who lives there with disrespect, it’s well known how much we all dislike her. Maybe don’t work in customer service if you don’t know how to treat people? You are forced to pay for trash valet which never does their job and constantly stinks up the entire building and you get fined if what you are paying for doesn’t happen! The gates are constantly malfunctioning, either letting homeless people in, or not letting you out. Don’t expect for what you are paying extra for every month to work, apparently that is too much to ask for. Basically this building does all it can to punish and rip off the people who live there, they don’t care about you, they want your money. Complete misery and the huge loss of income is not worth what you pay to live there for. Please watch out! I wish we never lived here and saved ourselves!"
"Moved in one month ago: NOTHING BUT DELIGHTED. Staff people are warm and responsive, location is very good, and the apartments are excellent in every respect. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the closet space is marvelous."
"Pro: I moved here a month ago, and so far its been really nice. The ladies in the office are really helpful and good people. Always willing to answer questions, talk and assist the residence in anything. The maintenance workers are always kinda and willing to fix any problems I have had in the past. Appliances tend to break (like anything will eventually) but they always come quickly to fix it and I never have problems with it after. The price of the apartments are reasonable for the area and comes with a lot of perks, like the pool, Jacuzzi, gym and lounge. There use to be a problem with trash being left outside causing the hallways to stink but property management heard our complaints and quickly fixed this problem with having certain times where trash could be left outside for pick up and if residents didn't listen would be given fines. The gates for cars use to break often but it gets fixed almost instantly, I also always feel safe within the complex and the residents I have talked to are always nice. When is comes to parking they recently added a feature where each car has a pass and if your car doesn't have one they will tow it away so this disallows people from sneaking into a spot especially when they do not live in the complex. Con(improvements I would suggest): Firstly I think if an apartment is a two bedroom you should definitely have the option to have two parking spaces, it shouldn't be one parking space per apartment. So they should find a way to expand parking not sure how the architectures didn't plan this ahead of time. Furthermore I would say some aspects the building can improve on is expanding the gym maybe adding barbells and one extra adjustable bench, and some wipes to clean off the equipment. I would also like it if they added a ping pong table to the lounge and repaired the pool sticks and added sand to the shuffle board (keep it up to date and clean). Kind of seems like the property management doesn't care for the lounge as much as it has been in these conditions for awhile. I would also think it would be nice if they hosted more events in the lounge, the most recent was a taco get together, but they can add simple events like a movie or board game night etc. A beer night would be nice. Just events so I can get to know my neighbors. Overall its been fun and good here, but I like things to be as close to perfect as possible. If they added these few things I think this place would go from acceptable to exceptional."
