"This place deserves negative stars. First they wanted a $1200 deposit. They called the place remodeled but when I moved in everything was just old, not remolded. I got a washer and dryer and put it in the kitchen by the hookups.. I had 2 hoses blow out before calling a repair place to be told its because the vent is clogged. I called maintaince again to be told its simply not in the budget to repair, and that even though I was paying for a unit with washer and dryer hookups I would have to simply do without.. I brought this up to the manager Dasha and was told that they simply could not find a vendor, and that the main reason was that they did not know which way the vents vented to. I was then told by Dasha that they cleared the clog and put a snake all the way through to the outside. I rehooked up a new vent hose and it broke to. After a bunch of back and forth I bought my own brush and pulled out enough lint to fill a 13 gallon trash can. Then I get told that the ESA letter they accepted would not be good enough and I needed to supply a new one. I did and I was told that "they simply did not take those letters" and I would need to provide a pet deposit and a pet rent. Upon move out they failed to notify their attorney that I moved out and instructed them to evict me even though I was not residing in the unit anymore. They charge for CAM but I did not see grass for an entire year, dumpsters always were overflowing. Drugs and loud music galore, and if you lose your job and ask them to work with you, your told their running a business not a charity. These people really should be thrown in jail for putting their profits over their residents lives...."
"It's a fine place for cost of rent and staff seem friendly. But I set up automated payments with plenty of money, but it didn't go through for some reason. I checked my balance on the 4th and a $99 late fee was added (fine understandable I suppose) but then they added a $450 charge for breech of rental agreement? After 1 day of being late because the pay system failed...seems overboard. Also gym and pool room are advertised, but you can only go in there during their business hours, which is when most people are working. So I don't know, I've only been here a month and a half, but things seem odd compared to other places I've rented."
"I have lived here for two years. Never seen much changes happening, until the new manager Dasha took over. This property has improved so much! Starting with new windows, we got new AC, and finally a dog park! They just installed new parcel system for us to use, playground, and updated machines in the weight room! Thank you new staff for everything!"
"Currently being evicted, I have had trouble paying rent due to them facilitating the towing of my car, which has made getting to work and overall surviving extremely difficult. In the process of packing, I noticed that they did a shotty job repairing the AC unit, which is in my closet that I use for storage and do not go into often. I have had to throw away nearly all of my winter clothes as well as some items that had immeasurable sentimental value due to a leak from their "repair" which caused them to mold. The office employees also came pounding on my door when they sent my information to their lawyer (not referring to being served, the office employees themselves literally came over pounding on my door to let me know they were sending it to their lawyer). I regret ever living here and sincerely hope that I'm able to get legal representation because I'm sure these slumlords will insinuate that the incompetence of THEIR maintenance personnel and the damage they caused is somehow my fault. There are also cockroaches , the stairs are falling apart, and although they're very eager to tow vehicles, they make no effort to make the complex pedestrian accessible. They work with the law office of Kirk Cullimore who shamelessly brags about how he wrote many laws that highly favor landlords (he's in the senate and has made a fortune off of unethical evictions and debt collection) and they BOAST about how agressive they are and how many people they have left homeless. Disgusting considering we're in an economical crisis. This whole situation has likely ruined my life. **Edit: they are now harassing me via email and throwing false accusations towards me for this review. They claim that they've made several improvements since taking over in October, (which mind you, was nearly a year ago) but in my opinion the safety of the stairs is more important than replacing windows and ripping up the mailboxes. They said I didn't report the stairs, howver they walk past them to post notices on doors, there are also other tenants in the building so i fail to see how this is my responsibility. They called my review dishonest, but the pictures speak for themselves. At this point I'm just trying to vacate ASAP and deal with court, since they are trying to use intimidation tactics now. I have a right to post my personal experience with this complex, it's not a lie just because it makes them look bad.**"
"*UPDATED* HALF WAY THROUGH LEASE This place hasn’t really changed much, the pool is a nice shade of green, the gates that are supposed to close every night remain open. The exit gates remain open essentially at all times. We have been dealing with cigarette smoke in our apartment for almost 8 months with no responsibility on Ashford’s part. They want us to move apartments instead of evict our neighboring tenant who (is breaking their lease) smokes inside and by our door. The laundry facility is so horrible. I would say it’s the worst thing about this place. Half of the machines literally don’t work. It smells so bad and the machines and environment are filthy. Honestly it’s insulting and so terrible makes me feel bad for living here. End update * In our lease it says this is a non smoking property in and around buildings which was important to my wife and I, yet people smoke on their balconies and right next to doors and buildings all day and night. On my walk over to the laundry facility(which is horrendously filthy) I just decided to take a few pictures of the property in its current state. Again with the smoking but our apartment has several cigaret burns in the flooring in the kitchen, bathroom and living space. On move in day our ceiling was leaking fortunately the only positive thing I have to say about this whole place is that DJ one of the maintenance members came and fixed our ac and stopped the leak same day. He was so nice and kind. 10/10 for that guy. Also probably deserves a raise for taking care of this place."
