"TLDR: If you want the cozy feel of working with a friend or family and working with a local small business where customer service is unlike any other, and where communication is not only clear, but actually happens, you want to work with Solar GOAT. Long version: I purchased the home with solar installed. 8 months into moving into the home, I noticed that I was no longer producing power. I called the contacts that I was given when the home was purchased, left messages with no call-back. I called the company that manufactured and sold the equipment and they said I needed to deal with the installer. For THREE years, I tried in vain to get someone to even come take a look, and I called about 6 solar companies. Not a word. Then my wife got a hold of Brandan from SolarGOAT and he was a saving grace. He got the serial numbers over the phone, contacted the manufacturers, learned it was still under warranty, worked with them to get the required parts, came out and spent much of the day working on the issue and troubleshooting the way the manufacturer wanted him to troubleshoot. Sadly, the issue was not resolved. He continued to work with the manufacturer, get a whole new inverter, get it installed, re-connect each of the panels to be sure that all the panels were correctly connected, and ensured that everything was working. He even ran hard wire to get network connectivity to the inverter. And his company was not even the ones that originally installed it. And because it was warrantied, it did not cost me anything. I am gonna take this guy out for dinner because THIS is how customer service should work. Support companies like this. You won't be disappointed, and you're supporting a local small business."
