"BEWARE! If you would like to skip my review and read the 5 star review that Barbara Burnett gave herself, scroll down. It clearly states how little she cares about clients and customer service. In 2023 we learned that we made a huge mistake in trusting Robinson Burnett and Associates with our 2021 tax return. We received a bill from the IRS for $4,850 due to our return being incorrect. Each item of our investments was reported low. Robinson Burnett and Associates had the correct information, however, many that were in the thousands they reported $0, and those that were reported at all were rounded down. Added to the taxes owed was $455 interest. Unfortunately, we trusted Robinson Burnett and Associates enough to sign a contract that states, “Your returns are subject to review by the taxing authorities. Any items that may be resolved against you by the examining agent are subject to certain rights of appeal. In the event of an examination, we will be available upon request to represent you, or to review the results of any examination.” But here’s the kicker, “Billing for these additional services will be at our standard rates.” This firm states plainly in their contract that they take no responsibility for their work. I recognize that we are to blame for signing this ridiculous contract, and for not checking each line to make sure the return was correct. We would’ve been better off preparing our own return. Hard, expensive lesson learned."

"Super slow and unresponsive. Take myself to be a pretty level-headed person and give people the benefit of the doubt. Robinson Burnett took three months to get back to me with questions regarding business decisions I needed to take. Got shoved around from person to person to get my tax questions answered and never got ahold of someone willing to help me. Grateful for the help when I got it but might as well have filed them myself with the neglect I received. Other of my team members said they had a terrible customer service experience as well. Eventually emailed Barbara explaining the situation and my frustrations. Mistook me for someone else (must have several others upset with her too). No effort to make right, was tired of not getting taken care of. She said the two-year tax season is why they didn't bother to respond to me and strongly encouraged me to move on. Plus ended up being pretty expensive -- still can't find out how to change the automatic quarterly payments to the IRS Extremely unprofessional Off to try another one"

"I have been working with Barbara for years. She has helped me sort through things that I absolutely have no desire to do on my own. Barbara is genuine and wants for the best and always gets the best for me. She has saved me many missteps along the way and has always been up on the latest tax codes in my state to insure everything is done correctly. I have and would recommend her to everyone!"

She takes the time to ask you questions, see what needs special attention and educate you at the same time. There has been multiple times that I try to explain something to her and not only does she know what I'm talking about before I finish my sentence, she personally comes to my boutique and will show me exactly what I need to know and do.
