"Great patient care. Treated with respect and Dr. Chipman listened to all my concerns. Highly recommend a health care provider!"
"Dr. Chipman seems compitant, caring, and very reasonable. His nurses are the best, and very protective of their vulnerable patients. I am only seeing him for maintenance care so I cannot comment on what it is like to undergo diagnosis and intensive treatment with him. I chose him because he is very well regarded in his field. The treatment center is very small compared to a large hospital in the city so the extensive resources for luxuries are not available. For example, at the hospital I was always given a Lidocaine injection to numb my skin before punching through my port with a very large needle. They could not do this here. It's a small thing but it's nice to be spared the additional discomfort. On the other hand I don't have to drive for an hour to treatment in the city, 5x a week, while feeling sick. That's pretty luxurious too."
"I accompanied my mother to an appointment here with Dr. Chipman. I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated. A nurse berated me for the fact my mask wasn’t covering my nose for a few minutes. I did not feel comfortable staying in the office anymore after this incident. This disgusting behavior caused me to miss out on a key conversation with my mother’s doctor while life and death decisions were being made. It was abhorrent to be treated this way by a so called professional who is supposed to be compassionate toward people in their darkest moments."
"Dr Chipman and staff are amazing! They really understand the anxiety that comes with cancer and go above and beyond to explain everything and put you at ease. No minimizing your concerns and questions. I’ve found treatment recommendations to be conservative and well informed. Couldn’t be happier."
"I was seen in the office the morning of Sept 24th by Michael Durando. I went in because I have been previously diagnosed with pernicious anemia by a past provider and was hoping to receive some clarity on my diagnosis. Dr. Durando immediately disagreed with this diagnosed which is fine however he went on to question why I was taking the vitamins and iron and asked if I am also taking a sugar pill and if the provider that prescribed them has stock in the vitamin companies. I am not sure if he was implying that the diagnosis was in my head and being treated as such with sugar pills or if he was implying that my endocrinologist is miss treating me for his own gain in vitamin stocks either way you can see how his comments were extremely offensive and unnecessary. I am a self pay patient and mentioned to him that I am currently having my PCP treat my symptoms because my endocrinologist was requiring labs every 6 weeks in addition to office visits. It's not that I can't afford the labs and visits, it just got expensive and it does not make sense to continue doing it when I can save money with the PCP. Dr. Durando continued to mention my financial situation as if it were an issue. I asked if it would be helpful to do lab work and he commented yes but its to expensive for you. I am self pay but I have the ability to and do pay my medical bills. I have been self pay for many years and have never had a provider make me feel so incapable of receiving care because of it. I came in looking for help and understanding of my previous diagnosis and I left feeling more confused and unsure than ever. He likely could be correct that the others doctors have misdiagnosed me but I would think that he could have explained this better to me. Instead he degraded me and made me feel as if I am stupid for believing the other doctors. I have never felt so unheard or had such a negative experience with a medical provider. Everyone else in the office was helpful and friendly."
