Reviews of Family Support Center - West Valley Crisis Nursery
"SO grateful for the respite option. It has been such a blessing to have a safe place with such amazing staff to take my kids while I run errands or just have some peace to myself after a hard week. Thank you for this resource!"
"My 3 year old had used up every bit of patience I had one day so my mom suggested I call the Family Support Center. I took my son there for an hour so we both could have a break! The staff there was so nice and I didn’t feel judged at all that I needed a break from my son. My boy loves going and was eating a healthy snack when I returned. Thanks Family Support Center for helping me when I felt I had no where else to turn."
"The conduct of this staff and profiling of this staff is horrible. My suggestion is never ever use this place. I understand the need but sometimes there's other ways and this would be one of them. Don't ever use this place."
"I have been taking my 2 younger sons here for the past year about and i have got to say I am very happy with the way they are with my boys there has only been one time a employee has made me feel uncomfortable and was pretty rude I don't know her name but I guess everyone is allowed to have a bad day!!! My kids absolutely love going to the nursery and my 3 year old sometimes will ask to have a sleepover with his friend's and he never likes to go to daycares or sleepovers WITH ANYONE he is a mama's boyso for him to ask tells me the employees are doing a very good job and it helps me rest easy knowing they are happy and safe being a single mother working full time going to school part time and dealing with 3 sons sometimes we need a break from each other . They need one from me as much as I do from them!!! Thanks to all the hard working and caring employees at the nursery!! Your all are doing an amazing thing for the"
"My therapist referred me to take my son to this crisis nursery in west valley. Because I have a special needs son, I'm a single mother, get no help, im very stressed and depressed and can't work because my son has over 30 hours a week in therapy sessions with 5 different therapists. And I never get a break and have no one to watch my son. It was fine at first, they would take him anywhere from 2 to 4 days a month and i only call when im desperate, but now it's been several months of them turning me away because they don't consider a single mother with a special needs son desperately needing a break a "crisis"? I have NEVER abused this facility I have never left my son there for longer then 6 hours and I only did that one time when my whole house flooded from my washing machine, and I have never left my son overnight like most parents do to go party and go to the bar. I won't do that because im not that type of mom number one and second of all , my son needs routine and can't not stay overnight it would be tramatizing for him and he would not sleep and then he would be miserable the next day from lack of sleep and it takes days and days to get him back to normal and on his schedule. I understand there are other crisis, but me myself consider my situation a crisis. If I didn't have a son with special needs, I would be able to work full time and put my son in daycare and be able to handle it, and get a break, but that's not the case. So unless your house burns down, the cops call them to take your child, or your end up in the hospital...ect. you can't use them during the day but if you just wanna party it up on the weekends and need to have someone watch your child overnight then by all means this is the place for you!! I will not be going back because it just makes me more stressed out when they turn me away...and I do not need the added stress! In the beginning this place was my saving grace and really helped me through day to day life and made my depression seize because I knew in case of a "crisis" I would have them, but now I know that's not the case. So good luck to anyone having to deal with this facility."
