Banbury Cross Donuts

"Their donuts are delicious when they have them. But just since January we've tried to go four times between 8 and 9:30 am each time and they've been sold out of everything except for a few donut types (their least popular) so we've just left. There was twice we went in the afternoon and the same thing happened, but for a donut shop we understood that they'd make fewer donuts that time of day. But morning is the most popular time, so going and being told all of their most popular are gone 3 hours or less after opening FOUR times feels kind of ridiculous. I'd like to give a better review based on their donuts alone but I'm kind of done wasting my time."

"These are the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. They are light and fluffy and remind me of donuts from a particular business (kk), but 10 times better. These donuts are soft, melt in the mouth, have incredible flavor, and are filling. When we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, they didn’t have many donuts. They sell out very quick, so be sure to get there in the morning. We were able to get six glazed donuts and six blueberry. We definitely want to go back and try more flavors! The employees were really nice and were able to get all of the customers helped quickly. My only complaint was the dirty counter. It was covered in chocolate, sprinkles, and glaze which normally wouldn’t be an issue, but that’s where they set the boxes down to fill them with donuts. When I got out to the car with my box, I got chocolate on my hands and clothes. Luckily we had some paper towels in the car. We’ll definitely be back for more delicious donuts!"

"Banbury does so many things right. They have an amazing base dough for both and raised donuts - all you need to do is get a glazed and you can tell that the rest of the donuts will be good. Some people say that they aren’t sugary enough (compared to other brands)… but that’s what I love - I can eat 3 donuts without even thinking about it. My favorites (in this order are): cinnamon crumb raised, rosette, maple bar, white cake vanilla frosting and peanuts, blueberry blueberry cake, and strawberry raised. This location is going to be a huge spot for the people of Layton."
