Reviews of Morning Light Counseling (Carrie M. Wrigley, LCSW)
"I first became aware of Carrie Wrigley as I attended her classes at BYU Education Week many years ago. I learned much there that has continued to benefit my life. I have also read Carrie's book, "Your Happiness Toolkit" in which she demonstrates her ability to teach skills in simple, organized and powerful ways. I became more personally involved with and knowledgeable about Carrie as I have referred many that I know well and love to Carrie at Morning Light Counseling. She has proved to be not only skillful in helping others, but deeply caring as well. I have been highly impressed with Carrie's Morning Light Counseling website and the resources she makes available on her site. If you are considering a therapist for yourself or for someone you love, I would suggest going to her website and looking at all that she has to offer there. You will have the opportunity to sense for yourself the effort and caring Carrie puts into helping others as you see the effort she has put into a website that offers so much to those who have interest and need. At her website, you can get a sense for Carrie and the great work that she does. You will not be disappointed."
"I have been to many therapists where I felt like I showed up, vented and then they took my payment with no resources to help me with my issues. Carrie has so many resources and leaves me with a lot of homework so I feel like I am actually working toward change, not remaining stagnant. She is fun to talk to and has been huge in helping me save my marriage. I highly recommend Carrie, she is real and is all about healing the package as a whole and not just one symptom."
"I've absolutely loved working with Carrie. I first saw her present at BYU Education week and was touched, inspired, and educated by her message. Since then, I've met with her as a personal client and leave every session feeling a little bit stronger and more empowered with tools to help me better my life, and move past my traumatic experiences. After meeting with Carrie I don't think I'd want to even consider anyone else. She's brilliant, compassionate, and has decades of experience. Love her!"
"Carrie is a one of a kind counselor. Her kindness and application of wisdom is greatly needed in the counseling world. I had been meeting with Carrie when I was extremely depressed and anxious, at a super low point in my life. I felt broken and just doing little things like getting out of bed in the morning were so hard. I remember breaking down in a complete sobbing mess during my session that day, not knowing how I could go on, and in that moment that I shared with Carrie, something shifted for me. I knew based on her response that she genuinely cared about me, and cared about my well-being. I wasn't just another client, that paid another copay. I truly felt like she cared about me as an individual, and that she cared about my happiness. It was exactly what I needed in that moment when I felt so alone-- to feel like someone else actually cared. That moment was pivotal, and since then Carrie has helped me find myself again. She has helped me become a strong confident woman, and has given me the tools to take my life back. She quite literally helped me turn my life around, and empowered me to take my happiness in my own hands. I will forever be grateful to Carrie for caring about me, pushing me through those dark moments, and for giving me the hope I needed to pursue a happy fulfilling life. I feel like anyone and everyone could benefit from meeting with Carrie."
"I had the extraordinary opportunity to attend three live classes that Carrie offered in August of 2019. I and my friend, who attended with me, have both suffered from a lifetime battle with depression. The thing we loved the most after each class was how hopeful and uplifted we felt. The even better thing was that she had just finished a book (Your Happiness Toolkit) with a gazillion proven techniques that you can pick and choose from according to your individual needs to not only recover from depression but, MOST IMPORTANTLY, to learn how to live a joyful, contented life. I have also had the extra special opportunity to counsel privately with Carrie through her Morning Light Counseling practice. I have gone to counselors in the past but this has been the best experience by far. Because of the tools she teaches and her compassionate (though lovingly/firm at times) approach she takes....I immediately felt like she was helping me to fight for my best self. I am by no means perfect, nor do I always complete the assignments she encourages me to do. Nonetheless, she is right there the next meeting with nonjudgmental insights.... calling me out where necessary and letting "unimportant for now," things slide till another time. I would encourage anyone to engage with her and the skills she teaches in whatever capacity you can.... be it her website, book or private counseling.... you will not only have a great cheerleader on your side, but you will be better in every way possible than when you started!!!"
