"If you see my previous review, you can see that they replied saying that they "took immediate action." I still have not received the refund that they have agreed to (the doctors office wants the refund send, I want the refund sent, my insurance wants it sent). My insurance company literally calls them every single week asking for the refund. They double billed me (on accident, that's ok), but they refuse to make it right (not ok). They agreed to make it right, but have dragged their feet for 5 months now. "Immediate action", yeah ..."
"I dealt with Alta a few years ago, and then again just recently. The difference is night and day. They have new management it seems and have been addressing issues faster, and more efficiently. They were very helpful and I felt like they actually cared about my billing issues. The best part? They found the error fast so I was not stuck paying for something I shouldn't. I appreciate the people who are putting in effort these days - and these people are putting in the effort."
"I felt bad for the customer service rep, she has to work at a terrible company. I called to ask why there was an error in my medical billing. I paid out of pocket, but they billed my insurance anyways. So, I was double-charged. Fine. So, I called them and they were not apologetic (blamed the medical office that I visited). Fine. Possible. However, the insurance wasn't even billed correctly. But instead of trying to help me figure it out, they asked me to call my own insurance company. That's their job. They screwed up, not me. Everything was fine until they (accidentally) charged my insurance. Like, what does your company even do? That's like the waiter telling you to go ask the cook for some new soup yourself when there is a fly in your soup. So, I called my insurance and after talking to them, my insurance actually called Alta Medical Management to chat. That's right, my insurance was willing to pick up the phone to try to solve the problem, but not Alta MM. Anyways, now I need to wait another week for "processing." Maybe, I'll change this review, if they actually get it right in the end. I get it, mistakes happen. This company is awful... the leadership need to figure out better processes and responses when they screw up. Take some responsibility, take some ownership over the problem solving process. Don't just stand in the middle and blame either side."
"First time getting a bill from them and both my sons bills were incorrect. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a girl that seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. And couldn’t provide any reason why it was messed up. I had to go through my insurances charges line by line and find where they made the mistake. This will be fun to do every time I get a bill to make sure they aren’t charging me incorrectly."
"This company is not able to fix the simple billing error. I paid my bill via their online payment service, however they still keep sending me a bill for the one I already paid. Their explanation doesn't make sense. one of their representatives said, since I paid via online, they have to pull out my payment information to connect to actual billing. I provided them my transaction id and payment date, yet several months passes, they still haven't fixed this simple bill error, and still keep sending me a bill I paid already. very frustrating. I can't trust this company. avoid this company."
