"For Pete's sake, it's time to step into 2022. This company does not accept any sort of digital or phone payments. The only option is to mail monthly checks. Also, the literal worst customer service I have ever experienced. The woman was arguing with me and belittling me because I called to try to set up some sort of online monthly payments. She was very rude when I explained that the line of text "your payment grace periods for subsequent monthly premiums is only 30 days" does not actually tell me the date my payments are due. Avoid this company until they get out of the Dark Ages."
"If I could rate these guys in the negative, I totally would. I wouldn't be surprised if this company was some big elaborate prank because they are a joke. I can't tell you have many times my meds have been inexplicably rejected from being covered and I've had to pay for them full price out of pocket out of desperation. I've had to fight them multiple times to pay hospital bills that should have been covered under my policy. They literally get off on leading people to financial stress. I'm indescribably relieved to be changing insurance providers soon. I hope they go under."
"I agree with the reviews for Direct Care Administrators. It has been nothing been frustration from day one. Customer care is not professional and I've learned to never trust their answers. The list of providers is not updated and it has cost me a lot of money. They do not pay promptly and it leads to bills much later in the future and a lot of confusion. I have tried to learn their "system" because I want to make the best health choices for my family and stay within the "plan" but it has been a very frustrating experience....over and over. It is the worst health plan we have ever had and yet I feel trapped as it is the only one offered through my husbands employment. I hope we get better options in the future. I've lost trust in Direct Care Administrators and just wish I had better options for health care. It is so difficult to pay such a high cost for health care and get such poor service. I'm paying more than I ever have and it has failed in comparison to previous health care plans."
"Customer service is a joke! They give the run around and will give you conflicting answers when you call. I've had medical providers call to verify coverage and copays just to get a bill 6 months later saying treatments weren't covered. Customer service is quick to get hostile and confrontational when you call to get clarification and they are very rude and disrespectful. I would run from this company if you're looking for good coverage, good & helpful customer service and upfront, honest communication. RUN!"
