"It's too bad that the VA claims process is so burdensome and difficult to navigate. The staff at LHI/Optum Serve are professional and cordial. That being said, it's their job to disprove your disability claim. Make sure you show the staff here what your disability is like on the "WORST" day. If your disability exam doesn't go well then make sure you call the VA IMMEDIATELY and tell them. Of course, your disability claim might come back unfavorably. If that's the case then you can always go to a veteran's service organization (VFW, DAV, American Legion, etc.) to get a DBQ form to resubmit a supplemental claim. After doing a supplemental claim you can also do a higher level review, and go before a board. That's 3 chances to prove your disability! Get Uncle Sam to fulfill what he promised when you rose your hand, took a vow and signed on the dotted line. President Abraham Lincoln said it best in his 2nd inaugural address on March 4th, 1865: "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan.""

"The government isn’t fighting their corruption, they’re contracting it out to pay someone else to be corrupt for them. It was obvious their goal is to minimize and discredit claims . This company has no integrity and only acts in the interest of the one paying them. When i asked them directly what is objective of the appointment they didn’t know and referred me to the VA for that question. What a disgraceful organization."

"I would give this 0 starts if I could. I originally gave 5 starts from some of the sub contracted doctors LHI/Optum Serve sent me to. First thing tomorrow I'm calling the VA to file an official complaint then notifying my Congressman. This company tries to discredit almost two decades or more of medical history. Word of advice for others is to file a complaint as well. Check your TOL documents while going through the DBB process. I had multiple forms where doctors put no issues and marked they reviewed my records when in fact they did not. They even try to discredit current and valid diagnosis you've already had in your records for years. Such a discredit to veterans all over the world. I'm sure there's a very good reason they had to change their company name from LHI to Optum Serve."

"I have been assigned to LHI by the VA Disability Claim Dept twice and both times I have had unfavorable claims decisions. I have had one over-turned & just received the second denial so I will be doing the same as the first. All LHI does is collect money from the government to give bad medical reports so the VA can deny claims. My left leg (service connected by back) & foot are now numb from a bad back (service connected) and my back per a MRI is worse but for some reason denial of increase. Request one of the other VA claims contractors."
