"Had a really great stay at the RV portion of this park! We stayed in the off season so were only ones there. It's walkable to everything in Baker, 5 miles from the entrance to Great Basin, and has everything we needed. Full hookups for $40 is hard to beat. Owner and folks were super kind. This is a great spot for being close to Great Basin National Park. Note: we didn't test out the bathrooms or laundry as we were self contained in our RV so nothing to report there but outside looked nice. Flies were non-existent as other reviewers mentioned, but we were also there in off season. We'll definitely come back here on trips across Nevada."
"Great location, horrible flies. Like other reviewers noticed, they don't empty their trash. The trash can sat overflowing and growing for the 3 days we were there and was never emptied. This led to huge amount of flies around the campsite and a futile fight to keep them out of our trailer. Also, as others have mentioned, while they do provide power and water, the sewer hookups are not available. We tried to dump in the National Park (very close) but found that the dump station in the park was shut down for the season (mid October). We also were unimpressed by the campground layout where the trailer next door is oriented with their door facing ours. We were hoping for a bit more privacy. The host and hostess we interacted with were very friendly and the price was great (only slightly more than inside the park) and the location being so close was very convenient. However, next time we'd probably opt for the campgrounds in the park."
"There must be better options! Knowing that we were going to arrive late we attempted to call many times, no answer....ever. Once we arrived there was note on door to see manager if unable to call, no directions on how to find a manager in dark. We parked in empty site and manager did find us and miraculously parked in our assigned site. We then used the facilities/restrooms/showers (only reason we stayed here)........I really should have taken pictures. The dead bug and scattered trash motif was just fabulous. The feces smears were a nice touch to the wobbly toilets and barely attached toilet seats. Thoughtful soundproofing was provided by the nice piles of toilet paper around the toilet. Unfortunately, much of the toilet paper was tracked into the shower stalls as well. Assuming this filth was accumulated throughout the day by thoughtless campers, but no.......over the three days we were there the dead bugs and trash continued to accumulate. Add this to the lovely views of the neighbors trash and dilapidated buildings, I would look for other options. It is too bad management/owners do not take more pride in this property as it could be a real gem with its location."
"We stayed in the RV area which was overgrown with weeds. The bathrooms needed a good upgrade but appeared fairly clean. Trying to check in was hard because there is no real office. Once we walked up to the bar there were instructions to call a number. The man was very friendly and helpful. This could be a nice park with a little work."
"We stayed in the RV park- the sight was ok for being in a desert setting. The guy that checked us in was very rude and the rest of the park was a dump! There was trash, junk, and old vehicles all over the place, weeds and just lack of care in the park. The restrooms and showers were dirty and not cared for- trash cans overflowing, no toilet paper or paper towels. There were only two showers in both the men’s and women’s and only one of them worked in each. The only positive thing I would say is the great location. It is about 10 minutes from Great Basin NP. Would I stay there again- NO! Found out after the fact there were other choices in town."
