"I really wanted to like this place because they offer outdoor cuts during COVID. Unfortunately, I showed a picture of what I wanted (a long bob, a bit past collar bone length) and she cut my hair so, so much shorter than the picture or where I indicated on myself. She didn't ask if it was ok to cut off all that length before she started, and now the hair at the back of my neck is about 3" long and the front does not even touch my shoulders. I am so upset and cannot look in the mirror--nearly 8 inches were cut off and I was expecting about 4. I am looking into another salon to see if I can get extensions because I am in tears about how short my hair is every time I look in the mirror. I mentioned how short the cut was several times as she was cutting, but she said I would get used to it. I really can't. I feel so ugly with my hair like this and it will take many months to grow back. I hope you all have a better experience."

"Lizzie is a gem. I have been going to her for about 2 years. She is the first stylist to see my frizz as an opportunity for waves and curls, rather than a ‘problem’ that required a blowout. I had just discovered the Curly Girl method/book — but I wasn’t sure if my ‘frizzy’ hair really counted as curly, and I was struggling on my own. Lizzie taught me to understand my texture and work with it. She helped me find the right products and cut, which translated to minimal styling time and lots of compliments! She sells DevaCurl products, but you are not pressured to buy anything. I would advise you try the products and techniques she suggests- you may find it a game changer, as I did. Lizzie works from her home, which is a nice change from a pretentious salon and really keeps the prices reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone, but particularly frizzies like me who struggle to ‘tame’ their manes."
