Top Shelf Cabinets

"**CABINETS NOT FOR OFFICE/DESK USE** I worked with the Sandy location to design an office/desk setup. We came in with the measurements for the office and we’re very clear about these cabinets being used for an office/desk area. Overall the process went pretty good and about a month later after we ordered we received our cabinets. The same day we got them our installer installed them for us. They looked great until I grabbed my office chair and sat down at my new desk. Unfortunately and we had no way of knowing this but these are the same 34.5 inches as typical kitchen cabinets and with a countertop they will be right around 36 inches. That’s way too tall for a desk for me and I’m 6’1 let alone my kids. I reached out to my salesman and expressed concern that maybe they sent me the wrong bases. He said they only offer 34.5 inch bases and the only thing I could do was take a saw and start mangling my brand new cabinets. One option was to cut the toe kick off which wouldn’t work because the bottom drawer would scrape the floor. The other option was to drop the desk area down but that would just create an issue with the countertops and the drawer is too big for a typical desk setup. Now I’m stuck with $5k worth of cabinets that will not work for the purpose I bought them for. If you’re looking for kitchen cabinets I’m sure these would be fine. If you’re looking for something for an office/desk area don’t bother with Top Shelf. I feel like the salesmen should have said hey just so you know we only offer 34.5 inch bases which for an office/desk might be a little to tall. On the drawings/invoice/paperwork we were provided we had no way of knowing the height of these boxes. I trusted that this is what they do and would help us through the process. After my experience I wouldn’t recommend Top Shelf to friends or family."

"I bought and had white shaker cabinets and quartz countertops installed through Top Shelf. The cabinets and countertops look amazing! I have really appreciated their quick response when problems with the install happened. They quickly repaired and made the mistake right within a day or two! Zach has been amazing to work with and Top Shelf is lucky to have him! My only feedback was with the installation. I believe Top Shelf contracts the install, so this is probably out of their control. My installer did an amazing job, but he did not speak any English. He was the only installer, so communication was very limited to my broken Spanish. I almost didn't let him into my house because he couldn't explain to me who he was. It would have been helpful to have been given some warning so I knew who he was and could have been ready with a translating app. It even would have been helpful if he had a translating app to communicated with me, which he didn't have. This is my only concern or complaint about the process. Overall, I have been very happy with this company and would recommend it to others."

"I ordered 18 kitchen cabinets, white walls and blue bases, in mid-March 2022 with the scheduled delivery of assembled product in mid-April. At the time of purchase, I was told I would get them in 5 weeks, which is why I went with the company. The 5 weeks came and went without receiving anything. At the time, the warehouse manager said they were having issues with their supplier and could fulfill the order with all white cabinets then have their associated painter paint the necessary ones blue. The warehouse manager and the company owner verbally guaranteed the paint performance. It took several shipments to get all the necessary white cabinets, unassembled. Once the cabinets were assembled and installed by someone else, the painters came out. They painted the bases blue and the next day they were all cracked. The painters then stripped the cabinets and tried a new paint application with a different primer. Same cracked result. The fumes were so bad we could not be in the house for days and there was blue dust coating the entire main floor. The painters did not clean up after themselves, blamed Top Shelf for the poor cabinet quality, and said the mess was Top Shelf’s responsibility (which they did not clean either). Top Shelf would not provide any type of refund/discount but instead offered to replace all the surface panels/doors of the painted cabinets with the actual blue ones originally ordered. This process took 2 additional months. Now in October 2022, I’m still missing a piece I paid for. The untold details of the story are more critical, but ultimately this is a business I would not recommend to anyone."
