About the Echo State Park
Echo State Park, located at 2115 Echo Dam Road in Coalville, Utah, offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including camping, boating, and fishing. The park has a rich history dating back to the Great Depression when the dam and reservoir were constructed for agricultural irrigation. Today, local residents operate the recreation concessions for the reservoir and resort on the property.
During the winter months, campsites are first come first serve, but cottages can still be reserved through Reserve America. Some park facilities may be closed for winterization. Reservations for camping are available starting May 1st, four months in advance.
Echo State Park is conveniently located in northeastern Utah and offers year-round recreation opportunities. The park features partial hookup camping and a day-use area with easy beach access. The park is currently seeking seasonal employees and a camp host to join their team.
Visitors are reminded to self-certify and display their quagga form before launching their vessel. If coming from contaminated water, such as Lake Powell, vessels must be cleaned, drained, and dried before launching at Echo State Park. Mussels are a concern and proper decontamination procedures are necessary.
Overall, Echo State Park provides a beautiful natural setting for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a variety of activities in a picturesque environment.

Reviews of Echo State Park
"Allways beautiful place to visit. Fishing camping or just a relaxing walk near the lake , Sunday drive vibe"
"Very nice temp around 51 degrees. I got there at 4 morning. Mostly bass catch and release. Have good fish out there. Very good lake expect crowd no good for boat fishing lol"
"First off, the main place is under construction. We went to the campground south and asked where we could go and were told of two turnouts we can park in to get down to the water. We went to the turnout just north of the campground. The walk down to the water and it was not bad at all!! The water was cold but refreshing. The sand was nice but a lot of sticks. Our daughter loved it! The dogs loved it! The wake wasn't bad until the wind picked up in the afternoon and it was not good kayaking. Definitely go in the morning! We loved it! We will definitely be back once the construction is done."
"Very nice reservoir! My husband and I did the 4 dollar walk in rate, so we paid only 8 dollars for an afternoon of swimming! The beach was nice, and had plenty of shade trees. The spot we went to seemed pretty popular since the other half was under construction. The water was nice, there were some cool rocks around, and we had a great time! The only thing we noticed was that there were pieces of glass around our spot, so we had to be extra careful. But everything else was so fun!"
