"Calm and relaxing!! There isn't a ton of homeless there, so I feel conforms taking my children on a walk through there. There are no toys for the kids, or bathrooms, but there is plenty of bench seating. It's really a cute little park. I wish they actually had the creek running through it filled with water, as it would make this a 5 start park."
"Perfect park to start off your trail run into the mountains. There is a lot of elevation gain at the start but it is worth the sore legs once you get to the top. I would caution to stay on the trail, I ventured off on some side trails and ended up in a couple homeless encampments."
"One of my favorite parks in SLC. The park is small but well-maintained most of the year. People can have a picnic, meditate, and play frisbee or balls. My less favorite thing in this park is the people who leave their dogs without a leash. I love animals, but I do not like them to chase me. Some dogs go inside the water pond and chase baby ducks. Some owners call them, but others let the dogs have fun even if they scare the little ducks."
"Great place for dogs! Lots of dog owners go here. When we are there we saw many without leashes, which I would only recommend if your dog is well trained. Great paths through trees as you get further up the park. Can see Capitol some from park as well. Kids would love the water. Fairly shallow on most places."
"When you walk down from State Capitol Building to Temple Square, you'll see this quiet and beautiful park. When you're alone, be aware of those hobos inside the park."
