"Nice campground tucked between some hills. There are some trees for shade and each site has a table and shade structure. Most of the sites are big enough for at least small trailers; ours is 26 feet and fit in our spot easily. The reservoir is adjacent to the campground and is small, but stocked with fish and bug enough for a small boat."
"I am biased on my reviews with Nevada State Parks. Let me explain why: Echo Canyon State Park is only a few hours outside of Las Vegas and delivers mountain views, clean forest air & skies (minimal/no light pollution), great camping (clean showers! and restrooms), and the quiet & peaceful ambience of a mountain landscape. Echo Canyon State Park features Echo Canyon Reservior which is popular for fishing and boating in a very comfortable size reservior. Shore fishing is just as great and the smaller size of the reservior make exploring the shorelines easy: a quick car drive can get you across the other side of the lake in minutes, or exploring the inlet of Meadow Valley Wash. There are also hikes to explore, the bridge to nowhere, and Spring Valley State Park, and Cathedral Gorge State Park are both not too far, nearby. And out of these three State Parks, Echo Canyon is often the least busy/occupied, which makes it one of my favorites. Escape the city here, or if you're driving/passing through our state, this park is the best to set up basecamp if you are exploring the area."
"Clean campground and facilities. Caught tons of fish (not the biggest, but fun) at the reservoir. Good place to stay and visit in the past of Nevada."
"Very nice campground. Large sites, easy access. 2 campgrounds, 1 with power, water and sewer at each site. The one with power is up on top of a hill, it is very windy. Good AT&T cell reception. The other one has water only at each site, with a large restroom with showers. This site has very poor cell reception. There is a lake, but when we were there, the water was very nasty, algae bloom I think. Nice views, valley below."
"We have been at ECHO CANYON STATE PARK for 12 days. We will spend two more nights for our enjoyable 14-day stay here. There are two campgrounds associated with this state park. We are in the upper campground where there are full RV hook ups with 30/50 amp service at about 20 sites. Each of those RV sites has a fire ring and a covered picnic table. Most are pull-throughs. We were at site 3 for our first week. Many of the RV sites are at a slight slope which made it a bit difficult to get completely leveled. However, my favorite site is 3a which is where we are now. It is one of the few sites in this campground that does not have any hook ups. We are in essence Boondocking within the state park! The very nice park ranger told us that these four sites on the edge without utilities are generally reserved for groups such as scouts, families, etc. This site does have a picnic table and fire ring. But the reason I like this site so much is it is on the edge of the park overlooking the reservoir. Beautiful views! In one direction is the small reservoir lake with fishing and in another direction is a beautiful green meadow. Our first weekend here was my birthday and Mother’s Day and my three daughters and four grandchildren were here. So, we took up these three sites as well as the RV site. It was wonderful! Another thing I absolutely love about ECHO CANYON STATE PARK is its location which is far enough off the road that you hear no road noise. Therefore, it is incredibly quiet. Nighttime sleep is so wonderful with such quietness. This campground is well tended and very clean. Park Rangers ride through daily. They have been very pleasant. We will return to ECHO CANYON STATE PARK in the future."
