Corner Pocket

"Two weeks ago, my window got busted out and all my belongings were stolen out of my car. Tonight, the bartender yelled at me because I was rolling up my medicinal marijuana to go smoke outside as I always did. I informed her that I was going to smoke outside and that I was just preparing it. She still yelled and threatened to kick me out if I didn't put it away immediately. I calmy packed up my stuff and told the owner, Linnie, I was leaving. I told her it's not illegal to roll or smoke in public places. She stated that it is illegal in her bar to roll it or even have it in her bar. There is no sign posted on the door or anywhere saying you can't smoke marijuana. I feel totally discriminated against because I have ailments that require me to take medicine. I dont know if it's because I'm a smoker or if it's because I'm black. Which reminds me, one of the waitresses kept calling me by another black person's name. I corrected her after the 3rd time I was there. She was such in shock and really thought I was my friend, Vic. He's ten years older than me with no facial hair. I have a full-grown beard.butMaybe we all look al Either way, it's an injustice to me and the laws in place for medical card holders such as myself. Corner Pocket smells like grease and cigarettes, and it's always hot. The two window units don't cut it. I get there clean and cool, yet I always leave hot and stinky. I would have never gone there if it wasn't for the free poker league I'm in. I'm not going back even though I stay around the corner. Based on the google reviews, you shouldn't either. I'm also informing my neighbors about my experience via our neighborhood chat."

"Love this bar. It's our favorite place to go. Bartenders are highly attentive and always have an excellent suggestion when you're not sure what you want. Tonight's pool league was quiet, but great games. And played great music on iTunes. Free poker started just before we left. Always great people and something fun at the Pocket"

"Mandy was so great to everyone. She was attentive, helpful, knowledgeable, funny, and pretty. The Poker game was exciting. I've never played at this venue but, I intend to in the future. The alcohol breathalyzer machine was also a hoot. The pool tables were also another great addition. I'd totally recommend a stop on in if you happen to pass by."
