"Horrible customer service. When they refuse to give you information why your account is locked, they will also refuse to send you to their manager to get more information. They will then hang up on you when you are trying to get any information. Due to being 100% online, getting cash or depositing checks is a nightmare. They will cancel deposited checks weeks after it clears and then restrict your account for suspicious activity. This proves that it is still important to have brick and mortar banking institutions."

"I’ve used the investing services for a couple years now and it’s been solid, 2 months ago I opened a banking account with them for the 300$ bonus they were offering. I had deposited the required amount to receive the offer but only got 50$. I reached out to customer support twice, the first time I was told that it was due to a coding error and was told I would be funded the remaining 250$. Never saw it come through so I reached out again. This time they basically said there was nothing they could do to right the wrong, unfortunate how one side of this company works great and the rest sucks. Talk to me SoFi! Let’s get this sorted out!"

"DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BANK WITH SOFI. They are supposed to be highly rated and #1 but that is not what I’ve experienced. My husband and I opened an account to deposit our home sale proceeds and a few hours after our wire deposit hit our account they FROZE our money and we were told they are monitoring it for our protection and an internal investigation needs to happen. No time frames no escalation path. I’ve been hung up on more than I ever have been in my entire life. They have all my money held up into their account and will not give me any information other than wait for our internal department to call you. I have verbally told them the transactions were our transactions and we need access to our money to pay bills and there is no manager or way to contact them. I will be getting an attorney as this appears to be a reoccurring issue with SOFI"

"Omg they froze my account and will not tell me why I’m a single parent that’s going to be on the streets any time now why are they doing this what rights do they have? Or do I have any rights in this matter they had no reason to do this!! Please help no one will speak to me and tell me what is happening! I thought this bank was so good? There not they are thieves"

"I will NEVER use them again. I was disappointed because I had heard good things. They were awful to work with for our home loan. They set us back a week and a half on our closing and now we are selling our house and they won’t communicate. We have been trying to request the payoff amount. We have spoken to several people over the phone and submitted our request online several times. Always assured it would be sent and it’s not! No one will call us back! Don’t waste your time!"
