"Dr. McGavin's office is more than an hour from where I live -- so it says something that I'm, willing to make a 2+ hour roundtrip to take advantage of his services. Recently, he completed a significant restoration for me. He is very thorough in explaining options and their pro's and con's -- letting me make the decision when there are options. In performing the dental work he clearly communicates what is involved/what he will be doing before he does it. He is exceptional in making sure the outcome is the best it can be (e.g., crown color and fit) -- avoiding future issues. Routine work (i.e., bi-annual check-up and cleaning) performed by highly skilled and conscientious staff is done to a similar high standard -- the most thorough exam and cleaning I've ever experienced (if it were a car wash it would be the "platinum package!") His dental assistants and office staff are similarly professional. To a person, everyone in the office is friendly, personable, and kind. They genuinely care about their patients. I come from a family of dentists, and have been getting dental work done for more than 60 years. Dr. McGavin is in the top 2 of all the dentists I've ever used! I recommend him without reservation!"

"Horrible office staff, I would avoid this dentist due to that issues until she is gone. I missed a cleaning after 9 years and they were not willing to work with me. I have more than 3k worth of work still to do but they are unwilling to help. Office manager is the most condescending person I have ever had to deal with. Dr McGavin is a good dentist but his office manager (wife) is ruining his business."

"Dr. McGavin and the staff are amazing!! I went in and had to have 4 teeth pulled. Not only did I feel comfortable but I knew they were going to help me, the last dentist I went to I felt judged and it really turned me away from getting the work I needed to done. But when I went to West Jordan family dentistry I could feel the difference. I had 4 teeth pulled and it was a much better experience than getting one pulled at my previous dentist. "i took my 8 year old daughter to 4 different dental clinics, and no one could help her with her problem. They referred us to go to a specialists, however, when our bishop referred us to Dr. Scott McGavin, he was able to help her with the best of his knowledge. Instead of having her badly infected adult tooth out, he was able to save her tooth. He also did other work on her other teeth which make her so happy. I was so impressed with Dr. McGabin and how he handled my daughter's case. Really appreciated the help. My daughter is so happy now free from all the tooth aches and sleepless nights. Thank you McGavin and the team for their great assistance in ending my daughters misery. I would recommend him to any parents having trouble with dental issues. He is the best."
