"Trust me. Find another dentist. Offices like this (predatory practices) is why many Americans decide to defer medical treatments. They can’t trust that they will be treated fairly. Why should you listen to me? I’ve lived all around the country (NY CA WA and more) and I work in healthcare I was optimistic because this location is so close to our home. I regret going here at all. The dental hygienist is fine. I only come in for a dental cleaning. Nothing more. Nothing less. Unfortunately the fantastic dentist that I started with has since left (unsurprisingly). So now you are stuck with a pushy owner and staff who don’t know what they are doing or their place. The cleaning is fine. I wish that is all I was subjected to. I’ve had issues both with billing and also the dentist forcing very awkward conversations trying to force things on a patient who clearly doesn’t want it/need it. They billed me for a service I never requested. I literally only came in for a cleaning. Which is covered every 6 months. I didn’t ask for X-rays or want them done. Furthermore the front desk staff unfortunately is also clueless. It’s happened more than once that the person collecting payment at the desk was utterly confused and when I communicated almost as if they do not know English. To make it worse they are claiming I never paid for a specific service I always get which is super standard. I did pay it. I will never be stepping foot in this place and I’d be surprised if it’s still in business in a few years. Do a little research on the owner/dentist if you’re curious. No surprise why there is constantly new staff and nobody knows what they are doing."

"After reading reviews about Dr. Tornow I decided to come here. He did not disappoint! He was kind and down to earth. Fun to talk to about things he’s done and accomplished! I Felt comfortable and the cleanings were great. Very clean, personable and friendly office. I also had to get a cavity filled and he was quick, but efficient and didn’t Hurt! I hate the dentist but coming here I definitely feel at ease! Also the view from the chair is definitely a perk!"

"I had my appointment a few months ago for a routine cleaning and to discuss getting a bridge for which I had upgraded my insurance for and added the amount to my flex spending that would be the out-of-pocket cost for me. I received a quote from my dentist in Sandy earlier in the year. I live pretty close to Lake Mountain Dental and I wanted to establish care somewhere closer to me. I have been with my dentist in Sandy for over 15 years and I have never had issues with my teeth. Lake Mountain Dental told me I was not a good candidate because I was in braces and i grind my teeth. I had already talk to my orthodontist a year prior who told me when I was ready to do the bridge he would remove the necessary end bracket. Lake Mountain tried to schedule me for an in house sleep study because I grind my teeth and told me the cost would eat up my flex spending and it was so close to the end of the year. No matter how many times I told them I did not want to use my $1500 flex spending for a sleep study they continue to push and schedule the appointment anyway and never considered doing a bridge. I cancelled the sleep study a week later. I called my dentist in Sandy at the end of November, who have always been amazing. They got me into the office within 10 days and placed the bridge on December 28. Today I get a bill from Lake Mountain for $441 for what I thought we’re routine x-rays for a first visit. Every x-ray is not covered by my insurance. I will never use this dentist office again and would never refer them to anyone!!! I’ll drive the 45 minute to see my dentist in Sandy."
