"So we are new to Utah and my daughter had a toothache. Went in they did X-rays and told us what needed to be done. Well the front desk lady was kind of pushy. Wanted to schedule her on Valentine’s Day I said no she doesn’t want to do that day. She said well doesn’t she have a toothache. Then wanted to schedule her for the 22nd. But we had to figure out the cost we were going to try and get care credit. I told the lady that if we could get it we would call her. Now this lady wants to charge us $250 because it was canceled two days before. She knew that if we could get the CareCredit then we would do the appointment but if not if I didn’t call back then we weren’t coming because we can’t afford that not once. Did she say when she scheduled it that we were going to get charged for that my daughter felt Like they were pushy on everything and so we’ve decided to go with somebody else but I’m not paying $250 for an appointment that we never wanted because we couldn’t afford it"

"I scheduled a dental cleaning with Gentle Touch and went to my cleaning. I thought it was going to be pretty routine since I have had dental cleanings every 6 months for my whole life. We took a panoramic x-ray which I had to do multiple times since the staff couldn't adjust the machine properly, and it would keep hitting my shoulders and throwing off the x-ray (I am 5 ft 11) to which we remedied it with me squatting for the x-ray. The hygienist started to do the gum depth measurements, a little bit later, she left the room and then the doctor came in. They told me that I had some extreme gum disease, and it would cost me $200+ to have this procedure done, and it needed to happen immediately, or I would lose all of my teeth. I explained that I needed to talk to my husband about the procedure and that I would really like to have some time to think on it, I also didn't have time in my schedule that do for a multi hour procedure. Dr. Eric Palmer wouldn't take no for an answer and kept trying to pressure me into getting the procedure done. I asked Dr. Eric Palmer if I can get a cleaning without this procedure, and he refused my dental cleaning service. I was feeling very uncomfortable and uneasy about how hard he was pushing to get this procedure done immediately. Eventually, I got out of the office 90 minutes later, without a dental cleaning, an extreme dental disease diagnosis, fear and a feeling of helplessness. This office additionally discounted all of their clients if they wanted to do a review, which is why there are so many positive reviews. The office staff was very unprofessional and had questions about my insurance and couldn't process it, so it had to be paid all out of pocket (my dental insurance was accepted at this office and works just fine at other places). It just showed their lack of experience and expertise. After my appointment with Gentle Touch, I immediately called my previous dentist and got into their office a few hours later, I told them what happened at this office, and they did a cleaning answered all of my questions and was a much better experience. I do not wish to go back to this office, and I hope that this review will deter others from going to the office as well. I would not recommend this office to anyone. If I could give this company a negative star review, I would."
