"This past Saturday, my wife and I took my father out for lunch, and I was blown away by, what I considered to be, an unusually small portion size relative to the price of the plate. My father ordered a sliced brisket sandwich, and I ordered a sliced brisket plate.  In terms of the meat (the plate did come with two sides), I was surprised to see my plate only had 3 small slices of brisket (see picture), whereas his sliced brisket sandwich literally had twice the amount of brisket as my plate. I actually thought it might have been an honest error by the person who sliced the brisket plate, so I showed a picture of the three slices to the manager to see of there might have been a mix-up.  Instead, he seemed incredulous to the fact that I was questioning the portion size and made zero effort to rectify the situation. If the expectation is that $14.50 is the intended price for three small pieces of brisket, I do not consider that to be commensurate value.  Please note, I have zero issue with the quality of the food.  However, I have lived in the DFW area since October 2012, and this was by far  the smallest portion of brisket I have received from any BBQ restaurant in the area.  I would  have expected better given my past positive experiences at this restaurant.  Hopefully it was a one-time anomaly and not a downward trend."

"This review will probably not be well met. My first issue was the flashing lights inside. There are light fixtures with bright bulbs that flash to the point where it seems they are defective, as defective bulbs flash that is. They made me feel sick as flashing lights affect me this way. Secondly, the tip, why?? The employees didn't do anything to warrant a tip but they beg for them anyway. I dislike giving away money for nothing in return but I felt obligated. The customers are victimized by the architecture as the bathrooms are really hard to get to because there a super thin hallway that everyone has to squish through to get to them. I liked the free water, that was nice. I ordered turkey and it was decent. That's the only thing I really liked about this place. It's super trendy with a hint of "hesh" or homelessness added for good measure."

"This adorable little place came highly recommended, as we are newer to the area and trying to find all the good spots. We had a puppy with us and they have a building that they allow dogs in with an open courtyard-type setup. There was also another building if you don't like dogs. The food was fresh, delicious, and very reasonable priced! The beer was also great and there were many options to choose from!"

"Someone recommended this place so we tried it while in Dallas. I absolutely loved this place from start to finish. The brisket was melt in your mouth good. They have 3 sauces you can try. We also got potato salad, and Mac and cheese which both were very good. They also sell whole pickles!"
