"The first time I came to this restaurant, I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was delicious. The chicken was juicy and the waffle was perfectly cooked. You can tell it was home cooked. Unfortunately, today I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and a salad. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. They had no sign of real potato or butter in them at all. I added butter and seasoning and it did no justice."

"The food was really good and I liked the cafe itself. The only thing about the service is that several times people in my group asked for certain things and the waitress forgot to bring them. I also felt pretty rushed because we were barely into our meal before the waitress was asking how we wanted the check to be split and then she left the checkon the table so it appeared to me that we were needing to wrap it up and pay. However, the food was good enough to make me go back."

"Absolutely sterling service and above top notch food. I had the Corned Beef Hash, hash browns, eggs over easy, and 2 pancakes. The coffee was fresh and delicious, and refills were easily performed by a smiling staff member. These may have been the very best pancakes I've ever had in my life, and I'm not being hyperbolic. They were absolutely fantastic. Despite quite a few customers in the house the food came out VERY quickly and was cooked to order, nothing dry or cold. When I think of a good breakfast spot in my head the service we got today is EXACTLY what I hope for. Excellent food, brought out quickly with a smile, and treated with respect and care. Please, take care of your staff and keep them doing what they're doing now. We tipped well, and they deserved it. We need more people and restaurants like this. To the Staff: Thank y'all for being happy to be at work. It was absolutely a pleasure to be in your company and talk to you all. I cannot remember the last time I went into a business and saw so many smiling employees that cared enough to ask what we needed or how we were doing. I can't compliment the staff enough."
