"Our mom passed away in January, and as a treat to myself (a teacher), and my sister (a single Mom) we decided to save up and have our home deep cleaned. The house was in desperate need for one, and our neighbor recommended Maid Brigade’s service. I called and spoke with Gary, and was so excited about all he said would be included. When we returned from our day trip we were extremely disappointed in what we found. Almost nothing that had been discussed was completed, and the team had been there for 3.5 hours. I called Gary first thing, and he was apologetic. He said he would send a great crew out, and a supervisor to check the work on Monday. I am all for a chance to make things right, so I said that would be perfect. Excited again thinking that the first time was just a miscommunication between him, and the crew. The payment was set for Monday but I assumed it wouldn't be pulled until the situation was fixed, and me, the customer, was happy. Well, we were equally disappointed on Monday afternoon. The team was there for 1.5 hours and nothing had changed, even the things we had specifically spoken about on Friday afternoon were left uncleaned. I assume a supervisor wasn't sent, as promised by Gary, because I can't imagine anyone ok-ing the lack of cleaning that happened. The floors weren't mopped, the blinds + baseboards weren't cleaned, there were still cobwebs left on fans, and the windows were not washed; all things we had specifically discussed twice at this point. I'm not sure what they were doing while there. I texted Gary again and kindly asked for a refund since we had given the chance for them to fix it, and they didn't even come close (pictures attached). He first offered a third cleaning, which for obvious reasons we weren’t interested in. After I told him so, and again asked for our money back he said he couldn't give us a full refund; he was only able to give us half of our money back. I sent him pictures explaining that the work that was completed wasn't worth 175, and wanted a FULL refund. He never texted back. Then my Dad reached out thinking he might get somewhere, it being his home, and he also refused to refund us anything past half. After a conversation with my Father, and Aunt he reached out to the owner, and the owner also said no to a full refund, as well It’s such a frustrating situation. We paid for a service that was attempted twice, and not met. And then refused our payment back. We feel taken advantage of in our moment of grief, and want to warn anyone looking to get their houses cleaned not to use this franchise. I can’t believe a business would want this to be their reputation, or legacy but per these posts we aren’t the only ones who have run into this with them."
"I hired maid brigade for a move out cleaning to get my house ready for sale. I was told it usually takes two hours but they would stay longer if needed at the going rate. Gary contacted me the day of the cleaning and he said they needed an additional 30 minutes to finish everything and he would charge me the additional amount. I said that was perfectly fine. I went to check out the cleaning the next day and was not satisfied-to name a few things the utility room was still dirty, the top of the mantle wasn’t touched, the living rooms white tile still had very visible mashed on dirt and one of the bedrooms hadn’t even been swept. I called Gary and told him that things hadn’t been cleaned. He was very nice and said he’d send the girls back out the next day to finish up everything they missed. I checked on the cleaning after they were done and none of the baseboards had even been touched. During the initial consultation it was specifically mentioned that all baseboards were cleaned by hand. I wanted my house show ready and was willing to pay and even mentioned my dissatisfaction once and things still didn’t get finished."
