They were on a strict deadline and needed the products ASAP. When I called in, I immediately got an answer and did not have to sit on hold at all. A lady named Bailey helped me and was SO helpful and SO kind! No other shipping company I've dealt with has had such an easy customer service process ad Averitt! Not even UPS or FedEx. Well done!"

"Averitt Express made a delivery for us on a day that our office was closed. Driver called the phone number on the delivery paperwork ... but it was a wrong number. I thought I had left my cell phone number with the original order, but it didn't get included and Averitt didn't have it to call me. The delivery was equipment that we needed for a "Kids Camp" starting later that same day, and I had been planning to give verbal instruction for where to leave it so our folks could get it set up. When I called Averitt, I spoke with Karen Smith in Customer Service, told her of our dilemma, and she was extremely helpful. She spoke with somebody in dispatch and told me that they would have the driver contact my cell phone. Within a few minutes, I had a call back from driver, Mark Burden, and we coordinated the delivery to arrive a couple of hours later, ahead of our setup crew. We got the equipment setup ... the kids and staff were happy ... and we had a successful first day, because Karen and Mark and the Averitt team were all focused on Customer Service. Thanks folks!! "Was great to deal with, got us in, unloaded and back on the road quickly."

"Had a terrible experience today with Averitt Express. The driver parked 300 feet away from our location and expected that our crew would come and meet him and unload the truck. He didn't have a dolly - so he asked us to bring ours. I had encouraged the truck driver to come closer to our location, but he refused. Every other freight company has met us at our location. He would not even back in to get as close as possible. He only went as far as he wanted to go. The manager (Dan) refused to make his employee go further and said we didn't order a lift gate so it was our fault. There was no prior conversation as to what we needed. No 1-hour phone call informing of their delivery. If they would have called and asked what we need they could have been more prepared to serve us better. Our small staff went and unloaded 7 large units in the rain and trudged through the rain and water uphill. The truck driver was content watching our guys load all of the units ourselves. I gave him a dolly and said "if you won't go closer to us then you can help us load them to our location." Had I not said anything he would have watched us load it all. Unbelievably poor customer service. Rude. Unhelpful."
