"Truly a horrible and frustrating experience. I was a first time client and I was coming to get my hair lightened. I didn’t have a consultation, she just asked if I had red in my hair. While she was mixing up the bleach she “warned” me that her previous clientele’s always get blistered along their hairline when they get their hair lightened but “not to worry, it’ll go away on its own.”. That should have been a red flag but I still let her continue. She applied it starting on my roots which I thought was odd because I’ve had my hair bleached multiple times and they’ve always started at the ends since it’s darker and takes longer than the roots but I’m not a cosmo so I just went with it. Half way through her applying the bleach it started burning, and not the usual light, tingling.. it was excruciating burning. I told her what was happening and she let me know it was normal, and that once she put me under the dryer the heat would make the burning stop. (Sounded odd but I went with it). After she finished and put me under the dryer she asked if it was helping and I let her know it wasn’t. She told me to give it a minute so I did. I was under the dryer for about 5 minutes and the burning was so bad I was shaking and my eyes were watering. She was about to start on another client when I called her over and asked how long the bleach needed to sit, when she replied 45 minutes I told her I was sorry but I need it rinsed now.. I was in so much pain. She took me over to the shampoo bowl and was telling me how she “used 15 scoops of bleach and a whole bottle of developer on my head” and was obviously frustrated I needed it rinsed now. I kept apologizing and told her I didn’t understand why it was burning so bad, I’ve never had an issue before. She started naming off reasons and then she said “hormone change”. I asked if me breastfeeding could affect it and in a hateful tone she said “well yeah, you didn’t tell me you were breastfeeding” like I would think to tell her? Then after leaving me at the shampoo bowl for 30 minutes while she did another client she can back and put a “hair earaser” on my head. She was only suppose to put in on the ends, but she was putting it on my scalp and it started feeling like fire again. I told her to rinse it. At this point she was being very irritated and rude. She left me at the shampoo bowl AGAIN to do another client then cake back and started putting a dye on my hair. I had no idea what it was until I looked at it in my phone because she didn’t let me know what she was doing. Then she rinses that and my hair is ORANGE. And FRIED. I asked her politely not to brush, trim, or blow dry my hair because my scalp was sensitive and she had already put me under the dryer twice. Then when she asked how I’d like to pay, I told her I didn’t feel like I needed to pay because I ended up with orange, fried hair and on top of that I had horrible customer service. I heard her telling other clients how I “didn’t let her know I was breastfeeding so I couldn’t handle the bleach so she had to figure out what to do with me.”. So she walks into the employe only room and slams the door on my face. Then she comes out and says “that’s fine”. So I leave.. 2 MINUTES AFTER I LEAVE SHE CALLS ME.. I answer and she goes “Hi, I just wanted to let you know to never step foot into our salon again”... As if I was the one who did something wrong??? It’s been 5 DAYS since my experience and I still have tender sores all over my head. I haven’t been able to wash it at all, and I won’t be able to re-dye it for a long time. Do not go see Alicia from Innovations.. she says she has 26 years of experience but I go to a Beauty College and everyone there in cosmo said she did almost everything wrong. SAVE YOUR SCALP, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE."

"DO NOT GO HERE ! my friend went to innovation ask for her hair to be BLONDE and she kept telling Alicia it burned her head then she proceeded to blame it on her because “she was breastfeeding” she left her under the dryer after making her feel uncomfortable and helped every other customer while ignoring my friend. she didn’t tell her anything she was doing then she started putting BROWN ! In it !! When she told her she was not going to pay because they did NOT get what she asked for the lady walks to a room and slammed the door ! Terrible service ! Only go here if you want an uncomfortable environment. Would not recommend this place to a soul. Save your money and go somewhere else."

"I've had Alecia cut my hair for about 12-13 years. She's awesome and always puts a smile on my face. I still drive home (to Coweta) to have her cut my hair, even though it's around a 135 mile drive!"
