"The stylist did not listen when I explained what I wanted. He did not pay attention to the fact that my hair had been previously colored even though I pointed it out. I asked for my gray to be covered with my natural color and he gave me some brassy color that matched my faded ends, my hair ending up 2 different colors and my gray showing through after just 2 weeks. I was the only one in the salon and it was basically silent the whole time. He barely made any conversation and seemed tired and annoyed I came in. All in all a pretty terrible experience"

"I had an appointment on March 16 very early in the morning. I told Taylor that I want to dye my hair burgundy aka dark red. First of all, My natural hair color is really dark. So I told Taylor if you need to bleach my hair to make the color red I’m down to do it. But he answered that’s going to take too long. And he went back to prep the hair color but he NEVER asked me to show a photo of the color I want. So AFTER he came back I showed him a photo of the hair I wanted. I don’t think that was helpful because he just proceeded to apply the color that he already had on my hair regardless of the photo. I’m not sure how good his understanding of color is but I know that the color “red” can be really various. So, yeah, the result was a huge disappointment. I spent $150 to get no change. First photo is a photo that I showed Tayler and the second photo is my hair right now."

"RUN far away! I was traumatized by Royal Oak Salon in Edmond. After sharing my awful experience with a local Facebook community it turns out that MANY other women and families have been traumatized by this salon as well. I arrived at Royal Oak salon with a nice balayage that was done at a good salon 1-2 months prior to this awful situation. I made an appointment at Royal Oak because I wanted to brighten things up and add more blonde for a heavier balayage. The first stylist who worked with me did a beautiful job blending the root area. My roots already looked good, but I was impressed after he was finished and I complimented his tedious root/blending method. I did have one major concern though, my hair looked DARKER then when I came in! I felt awkward/anxious to say anything and thought I'll wait till I get outside and make sure it's not just the lighting. Sure enough, when I got to my car my heart sank because my previous balayage completely disappeared. I got home and asked my husband "Is my hair brown? I am so confused!" He said "yeah, it's brown." When I finally got to speak with the owner she was very kind and said that they would fix the mistake for free. I was appreciative of her offer and I had hope that maybe this could end well. However, I was still feeling disappointed that this situation was going to cause extra damage to my hair. The owner reassured me that they would maintain the health of my hair and they know what they are doing. After I went in the second time, she put me with an "even more qualified" stylist. However, it turns out that he is not more qualified in balayage. This stylist did get my hair lighter, more damaged (spaghetti hair), and orange/brassy but he DID NOT BLEND anything! I can't even put my hair half up to hide it because the under part is horrid as well. I told the stylist that I was concerned about the roots and he completely gas lit me and claimed that the roots looked like the pictures that I showed him. Complete LIE. I went home crying and confused. I called and asked to speak to the owner and she has refused to speak with me since this has happened. She refused to give me a refund in order to help me get their mistakes fixed elsewhere. She gave a message to her receptionist for me saying "their is nothing else they can do for me and Royal Oak is not the salon for me". I tried so hard to kindly and respectfully get her to work with me, to help make this situation right. Unfortunately, she has completely discarded me, just like MANY other clients who have been victims of this salon."
