Reviews of Legacy Rentals
"Went to pick up our skis at 3:30 pm to have for the following morning. Despite only a handful of people in front of us in line, it took over an hour to get through. It’s like the workers are operating in slow motion. Use ski butler or literally any other rental service in park city."
"I recently met with Michael Goldstone who sold me a new pair of skis and bindings at the Legacy Sports shop in Park City. He spent a great deal of time with me evaluating what might be the best skis considering my usage and experience. In the end I got a great deal on the prior year model that was on sale. I was absolutely thrilled. The manager was also very helpful getting me credit for the rental I paid to demo the skis and the shop quickly installed the bindings so that I could have the skis the following morning. It was a seamless experience and I am very grateful."
"I’ve been flying in to Park city for a while now, and If you’re looking into rent some demos or just make sure that whatever you’re riding is fit specifically for what you’re looking to do, or how the mountain is riding definitely hit up Legacy sports rentals. First, location can’t be beat—right by the main lift. great apres at the end of the day. More importantly, the staff is the best. Everyone is beyond helpful. I’d ask if Abby is available, can’t say enough about how much she helped me out. She probably took 30+ min out of her day putting up with all my questions and got me into what are easily the best skis i’ve ridden yet. So much so that i’m planning on buying them when im back next month. Nothing makes a trip better than having someone that knows the mountain and cares enough to get you in the gear that’s right for you. Trust me, standard rentals are ok but having someone that takes the time to get you set up right makes all the difference in the world."
"Original review below this update: The manager of Legacy Sports reached out to me electronically (below) as well as via telephone. I was impressed by the genuine care/concern he showed regarding my particular experience. As indicated in his note, the manager truly wanted to know how to make my situation "right". He listened to my concerns and informed me of the steps they had taken to prevent these issues from happening again. The manager went above and beyond what I considered fair and I truly was impressed with his desire to make sure the customer (me) was happy. I cannot give a five-star rating because of my original experience. However, the follow-up and post-rental customer service was terrific. Original review: As far as properly fitting boots or adjusting bindings to fit boots - the staff is terrible. My bindings were not adjusted to the right size for my boots and i stepped right out of my skis three times on my first run of the season. I took the skis to a different shop for a proper adjustment and they literally said "whoever did this had no idea what they were doing". it is dangerous to improperly send someone on the mountain with ill-fitting and improperly adjusted equipment. From my falls just on that first run i destroyed my thumb, had the wind knocked out of me, and had to retrieve a ski that went down 3/4 of a double-diamond without me. Their staff may be trained how to be nice, but they are technically inept. Find another shop if you are renting skis."
"1 hour and 10 minutes to return the skis on Friday January 7! We missed our last shuttle and almost missed our flight. The manager keep responding to these negative reviews, but it seems a problem ongoing for months. Nobody cares to do anything about it. Will be renting at other shops next time."
