"Worst ecommerce company ever!! Stay away. Bait and switch. I ordered a carbon wheelset at a good deal ($900), so I thought. They sent aluminum (worth half of my purchase). It took 10 days to receive them. I sent them back, and it took 10 days after they received them to enter in their system. They put my refund as store credit!! I had to call to change to refund. Then they took out $29 for shipping. Unbelievable! They've had my money hostage for 30 days now. $900 for a month. Not my first bad transaction with BC. Very shady business practices...Should have just continued to stay away."

"I called 3 different times to verify details before purchasing online and all 3 times I waited 20-25 mins each time and your phone system just said sorry the person you’re trying to get a hold off can’t answer and hangs up!! Terrible customer service specially when you’re considering spending $400+ dollars. I called REI and they picked up within a few minutes so I am taking my business there."

"I ordered a shipping rod, found it at a price $20 less than retail price, but when It arrived, it was send in a flimsy flat box, with no padding at all. The rod was snapped at the tip and the ceramic eyelets were broken also. I contacted customer service and they said they would pass along the info to the shipping department, and sent a replacement 2 day FedEx. The second rod came, but it was shipped in the exact same box, no padding and was also snapped at the top. I contacted customer service again, they asked for photos which I sent right away. They put me on hold for a while and when they came back, offered no apology, way to correct it, just simply said, “ we’re issuing a refund” no other words. I had to ask a few questions to clarify that they wanted me to send them back with two different return labels. So now it’s been two weeks, I have to wait a bit for my refund, and I have to drive them to a upc store in another town to return them. Long story short. Back country is not the spot to order from, and I will shop at academy or bass pro and avoid this place."

"I recently went shopping for snowboarding gear here. I am a novice and unknowledgeable on most gear matters. Jake stepped up and went far above and beyond anything I could have expected. He found me gear that fit well, served my wants, and in all honesty looked good together. He far and away exceeded any expectations I had. After everything was said and done he wouldn't even accept a tip. I have since basically made this my one stop shop for purchasing any outdoor gear regardless of price. I seriously can't recommend this place enough. 10/10 customer service."

"Had the best experience looking for ski boots here! I'm a novice, and my partner is a snowboarder; so we were both a bit confused about what I wanted. Randy C was fantastic! He made a bunch of great recommendations, and wound up helping me find the perfect boots. He also knew that I was looking for something with blue coloring, and he pulled up the boots in the color I wanted online since they were not in stock in the store. Seriously so helpful and knowledgeable, as well as super friendly! We will definitely be back looking for Randy for our future gear needs. :)"
