About the Business
The South Salt Lake Community Center, located at 2531 South 400 East in Utah, United States, is a historic building designed by C.S. McDonald in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. It serves as the hub for important activities, clubs, and events in South Salt Lake. Originally an elementary school, the center now features an auditorium, gym, meeting rooms, dance room, and outdoor courtyard available for rent.
The Community Opportunity Center, also known as "The Co-Op," offers digital access, job and career support, and financial empowerment coaching. It is housed in the former Columbus Branch County Library, which has since been relocated. The South Salt Lake Senior Center, previously known as the Columbus Center, provides meals, activities, and classes for senior residents.
The City's Recreation Department operates out of the Community Center, offering classes, camps, and leagues for all ages at various city parks. Additionally, a drop-in lab with advanced technology such as Microsoft Studio computers, a 3D printer, and a recording studio is available for experimentation and innovation.
The Promise SSL center at the Community Center provides academic support in reading, math, science, and ESL, as well as fun clubs and sports activities for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The center is open Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 7pm, Saturday from 10am to 2pm, and during the summer from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

"Great place for meetings and for sports play"
"Nice place to host meetings. I miss having a library in the building."
"Their events are great and the staff are amazing!"
"It is wonderful center with community center and head start pre school system. Head Start (Columbus class 2) starts and ends to at 8.15 am and 2.15 pm (respectively), while other class (Columbus class 1) starts and ends with 15 mins delay. They have renovated their recreational center and they have all the new furniture and private rooms for study and other stuff. There is a playing area outside the head start, but it is not associated with Head start at Columbus center. Your kids are welcome to use the play area after school time. The fountain in the play area isn't working till yet (mid Sep) but hopefully it will start working very soon."
