"I've been staying here on and off for many years. The rooms are horrific. Beds worn out, carpet too old, electrical outlets so old plugs fall out, water valves so full of mineral deposits kids can't open or turn them. The location is great but the rooms are terrible. I've addressed these issues in the past to no avail."
"We have been multiple unit owners for a long time. People who are expecting AirBnB or hotel level accommodations please take notice. These are worn, dated and minimally maintained units at best. You’re getting a warm place to sleep at the top of the mountain and if it’s one of the classic Wasatch storm cycles there’s every chance you won’t be able to leave so BRING EVERYTHING YOU MIGHT POSSIBLY NEED. It ain’t pretty. It ain’t fancy. It ain’t more things than it is. What it IS is a comfortable enough place with a nice staff and a million dollar view in a billionaire’s neighborhood. Don’t whine, click in to your bindings and be thankful this place still exists- for now."
"This was my first time to Powder Mountain and the Powder Ridge Village Resort. One person in our group had already been here and recommended it as "inexpensive and adequate". It was perfect for a quick 4 day guys snowboarding trip. The people that were on site were very friendly and helped out with answering questions about the area etc. We were alone in our building, but they still did us right and plowed the driveway up the hill each day so we could come and go with our car (we got 8" of snow every night). We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, especially for weary muscles at the end of the day. I'd recommend installing soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower stalls inside the pool area locker rooms. There's normally a short walk to the ski runs back behind the main building/tennis courts area, but with so much snow falling and stacking up, it was tricky getting through, but it's worth it. Otherwise, it's just a short car drive up to the parking lot at Hidden Lake Lodge or down to Timberline Lodge. We had a great time staying here and will be back again."
"Room not very clean. Worn and dirty sofa and love seat and carpet. Heat hard to regulate. No handicap bars in showers. No shampoo or conditioner. Cracked cabinet door on microwave. Patio door locks with a stick but takes a mule train to open the sliding door. Vertical blinds over patio door all broken and twisted. Hard to pull. Difficult to block direct sun shining in our face late afternoon. The old Venetian blinds on bedroom windows don't reach the sill so a lot of sun shines in when trying to sleep in the morning plus feels like lack of privacy. Dining table is sticky with old varnish --when playing cards and picking them up, your nails scrape up varnish. Old public bathroom-style soap dispenser in tub area that is empty, looks tacky plus was just in the way. Had no hot water one night. Office was closed and we didn't see a night number to call until office told us the next morning. Had no Directv one night and weather was clear. When you check in, you receive a set of three keys but the outer door was never locked - it wasn't locked when we arrived so assumed it was to remain that way. Our actual condo door was open slightly. It's difficult to close and lock. You are given "dos and don'ts" such as charged if you don't leave the same amount of towels as when you came. Charged if dishes weren't all there (that would be a guess because they were such a mix matched set of silver wares and pots and pans). Charged if anything is excessively worn (it was already worn out). Charged if anything was stained - towels and sheets were thin and stained. Sheets wouldn't stay on bed because they were like IKEA sheets with shallow pockets. Heavy polyester rayon bedspread that they said would melt if it fell to the floor. Entire facility very dated. Pool table not level in lodge which made Pool games interesting. Handicap bath in lodge not really handicap - large stall but low toilet and no grab bars Good stuff: great customer service. Friendly."
"Absolutely beautiful view. We stayed in Valley view 5 and it's a 2 bedroom. 1 king master suite with a jacuzzi tub, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds and a pullout couch in the front room. It would sleep 6 people comfortably. Nice kitchen, electric stove and a nice dining room table for 6. The club house has pools and hot tubs various temperatures. Little store and lots of dvd you can rent also log fire you can purchase for 5 dollars for the fire places in the room. Customer service is great no matter who is helping you. We stayed here again in May it was very nice different room slept up to 9 people. No jetted tub but did enjoy the hot tub in the main building."
