"The historic significance is the only redeeming thing. Two pumps, and nothing else. Not really worth the stop. Just keep going down the road to the Route66 museum - that is great"
"This is a place of Highway 66 history. There is no restaurant. There are a couple of suites you can rent to stay in, but that is about it. The history of this place is interesting. For me, it's very personal because my grandfather used to visit this place when it was still a working gas station and convenience store. My grandfather used to call the lady that ran this store his sister, he would always visit in the evening before she would close for the night, they would talk and laugh for a while, just having a good old time in there."
"After hearing about Route 66 for so many years, it was so much fun to ride on it during our Christmas Day Holiday Road Trip from Hilton Head, South Carolina all the way to Albuquerque, NM and share the experience with my husband and son. Lucille's makes it extra special since is on of the original stops on the original Route 66. It was like a trip back in time. My son really enjoyed it too !!"
"Lucille’s Historic Highway Gas Station is a pretty cool part of Historic Old Route 66!! It’s actually located on old Route 66 and there’s plenty of room to safely park so you can check out a super cool piece of history. There’s also a Will Rogers Highway Marker there. It’s a must stop if you’re driving Old Route 66."
"Such an amazing piece of Route 66 history. In fantastic shape and very little traffic on this part of 66. This is a must see if you’re traveling and driving on historic 66. I’ve driven on a ton of 66 and this is one part I was finally happy to experience. Gas was only .25 cents!!!"
