Reviews of Mustang One
"Brought in my 66 to have an engine swap as well as a plethora of things replaced interior and exterior. Todd went down the list of items I wanted and gave some solid suggestions as well. I will say that it took a bit longer than quoted however, the work that has been done is absolutely top notch. I even had him pull the old transmission and put in a t5. The pony is amazing and runs like a beast. If you’re impatient, go to Pep boys- if you want the job done correctly - go to Mustang 1. Definitely a lost art. Thanks again guys"
"Do not come to the business. My story begins with me coming in with a list of things that I wanted done for my 1965 Mustang. New coils, coil towers, shocks, export brace, have my brakes bled properly, fuel pump reattached (it’s hooked to a secondary pump), Radio installed with 4 speakers, a tensioner pulley, and a 1966 instrument bezel. Todd said it would take around 3 weeks but to wait a week and a half to bring in because he was working on other cars. After I dropped it off, I heard nothing for 2 weeks, I called and Melvin said about another week. I called a week later and he gave me Todds number, he said he was just now starting on it because he was behind. For the next 5.5 weeks he kept extending the deadline a total of 7 times and making up a bunch of lies and excuses. Finally after pestering him and telling him it was getting ridiculous, I picked it up 8 weeks later. 10 minutes into the drive, fuses pop and the car shuts down and has to be towed back to their shop. The next day they say I can come pick it up. On my second drive (today) since picking it up, all 4 speakers quit working. Here is a recap of everything they messed up. - Only 2 of the 5 gauge in the new bezel work. - The speedometer gauge is crooked. - The Car broke down. - The Speakers don’t work. - They didn’t touch the fuel pump. - They used my old kick panel to make a mount for the speaker and it is crooked and looks like a kid made it. - They didn’t touch the pulleys. - At one point I had to send him the receipt of everything because he forgot 50% of what they we’re supposed to do. In recap, they took 9 weeks to do a job that cost me nearly $2500 and my car is in the worst condition it has been since I bought it. I am going to go through it all and fix it myself. If it were possible to give negative stars I would, do not do business with Todd at Mustang One."
"Where do I start. I’ve never seen anything even close to this place. My66 mustang the day b4 a show went to start it and sparked from under dash. Then started but starter stayed on. Replaced starter and switch. Car would start but die when turned back to on. I’d had trouble with resistor wire b4 and mustangs plus in CA had fixed it with a solid wire. We ran some temporary wires thru firewall to get car to shop which were shown and talked about to Todd. Took it to mustang one Todd said a thou bucks to rebuild harness I told him my nephew had an alarm in there in 80s he said he’d fix it. No problem it was his specialty. A/c we unhooked from selenoid while working on car. A week later went to get car. He said radiator leaking. It was new cheap alum one so I figured maybe. The speedometer cable they hadn’t hooked up. A/c was now wired to stay on high at all times. Car of course got hot while waiting on train afraid to turn it off made it back lifted hood and all the hot wires we’d put on car to get it to shop were still there. If he took out harness like he said he hooked back all the green jumper wires. I was mad by then. So bought new radiator and shroud from dad. Todd said $125 to put it in. Told him to fix the wiring. That was y we took the car there. I can’t even figure out what he did. He acted like I was crazy those wires had to be there The next wed we cslled they said car had been ready since yesterday. We were to pick it up before 1130 in morning. At 9 they called. Said they were having trouble with wire. I don’t think they’d looked at it yet. Now a/c will turn off but no longer variable speed and controlls are all backwards. I blew up told them just what I thought of their shop. My wife asked the dad who worked on car he said the kid in shop did but he said in his defense he’d been really busy. I asked Todd he said he’d done the work himself. Who knows what the truth is. My wife paid with her card he said $125 as he put it in fone. No receipt of course. She gets home he’d charged $250 to her card. She was furious. Called dad said yes it was 125 he’d talk to todd and call back. Cslled back said he’d charged a. Xtra 125 to do shroud also without saying anything. They did take off charge to their credit. Our experience with this shop is it’s the worse I’ve ever seen. Just way beyond bad. Spent $1800 snd car is worse than when I brought it there. This place deserves a negative ten. Worse shop I’ve ever seen let alone done business with. Read the reviews. Stay away"
"Mustang One has done several mods and repairs for me over last 4 years on my 66 convertible 289. And all are still performing. New clutch & flywheel Replaced shocks Holley Sniper EFI system with new Holley tank and fuel pump Replaced factory PS with Borgeson PS Replaced all steering linkage Replaced master cylinder and added power booster Fixed ignition switch issue that was keeping my wipers from parking I came in with my own parts most of the time and he always took the job on and turned it around fairly quick. Always good to visit with Todd & Melvin and get good advice."
"Here is my experience with Mustang One and Todd Little (Owner). My Mustang was supposed to be completed almost a year ago, in time for my wedding. However, that deadline was failed. Since the deadline was failed I added a new mustang II front end to the car. I figured since the car was already incomplete, I might as well get it back exactly how I wanted it. Todd used this as an excuse for not having the car completed. Long story short, I paid Todd Little $19,000.00 for a Mustang II front end and some interior assembly, the $19,000 should have completed the car, but it did not. I finally showed up with tow trucks and pulled my Mustang and my Dad's 1967 Eleanor after numerous failed dead lines and numerous lies. Both of our cars have new scratches and paint chips and are in worse condition than when we took them to Mustang One. My Dad's 1967 Mustang has been at Mustang One for a little over 14 months and it has only received a Mustang II front end and was stripped back down to primer. After I picked up the cars Todd fabricated some invoices to reflect that I owed him almost $3000 more and that my Dad owed him almost $5000 more. Todd wrote receipts showing that 8 to 10 hours a day was being spent on my car, however every time I showed up that car seemed untouched. Upon gathering our miscellaneous parts, Todd had lost my Dad's original 1967 backseat and a section of his fold down backseat, he tried giving us another backseat and fold down section that he had around the shop. So in my experience I would NEVER do business again with Mustang One or Todd Little."
