"As for a dealership, this is the best service I've ever had. They are quick to get you in and done. Never had to wait all day for an hour job like other dealerships."
"To reset and fix some ECU issues, and then later to change an ECU wiring harness, the battery had to be disconnected in order to avoid a power surge. Looking at the battery + terminal, the mechanic that worked on my car took 'great' pride (that's sarcasm) in his miserable job. The Mailman definitely didn't deliver, at $200/hour. Come on guys? And you wonder why consumers start hating you for your miserable mechanics service attitude. Also look, they removed my oil cap trying damage my engine. Best never go back to KMT"
"Poor communication. My Toyota battery went dead and was still under warranty, so I called in and they said I could get a new one at a discounted price for $136. They then proceeded to tell me I needed to go in to have the battery tested to make sure that was the issue. I jumped my car to get down there, then they took an hour plus to "test the battery". Found out that it was in fact the battery, replaced it, and charged a $40 service fee that I was never told about (it takes 30 seconds to install a new battery, and most shops will test your battery for free). They also charged more for the battery than was said over the phone, $160 instead of $136. So for what was supposed to be $136, I was expected to pay $220. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because they reluctantly changed the price to what it should have been as previously stated over the phone and waived the service fee. Still tons of wasted time and poor communication. All I needed was a new battery and it was made very complicated. Be very careful when dealing with these guys that there aren't any hidden fees."
"Karl Malone Toyota service department is amazing. My friend bought a used vehicle from a different dealership that had a huge issue with the engine after six months of purchase. The other dealership didn’t provide a warranty for what went wrong so we had to do a full engine replacement on her vehicle. We shopped around and my friend found Mary Jane at the service department at Karl Malone Toyota. Mary Jane helped us with so many different things about getting this engine replaced. Communication and availability from her was impressive. The transparency from her and the technician that did the engine swap is unheard of on this industry. I appreciate everything that Mary Jane and her team at Karl Malone Toyota did for us. I will definitely be using their service department for the needs of any Toyota vehicles that we own in our family. I will definitely go back there and do business with them."
"I came in with a 23 TRd off road Tacoma for a 15k service. Explained that tire pressure was low in one tire. 2.5 hours later they found me in the waiting room and informed me that the wheel was actually cracked and needed to be replaced. I was assured it was under warranty because it was inspected and there was no sign of impact. It wasn't in stock so they asked me to come back in 2 days. I came back just for the wheel swap but this time I waited 3.5 hours until I finally went looking for someone for status. That's when they changed their tune and said the other guy mistakenly said it was covered. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed after waiting 6 hours only to be told they miscommunicated about the warranty. Then they wanted to charge me 500 Dollars+ for a single wheel replacement. Google Tacoma Wheels and you'll see what a rip-off that is. Never again. I'm so disappointed I bought another Tacoma with obviously cheap wheels that busted without ever being off road. The rip off sale attempted at the end sealed the end of a very bad day in my life as a Toyota customer. I'm still waiting actually...4 something hours now for a wheel swap... and there wasn't a line when I arrived (service people standing around all over the place in the service bay). Update... it took another half an hour to get out of there. I drove about a block down the road and noticed that they had put 37 pounds of pressure in 3 wheels and 30 in the other (the door label says 30 PSI). I'm so frustrated at this point I didn't even turn around and go back. Makes me wonder if the oil change was even completed... the only thing I have to go by is grossly overinflated tires."
