"They only nice thing I have to say about my experience with Ken Garff, was the salesman we worked with. Caleb - you were kind and concerned when we brought our issues to your attention. However, I am very disappointed in the experience overall. When I purchased a used car from Ken Garff, I was assured that the vehicle had undergone a comprehensive multi-point inspection. However, the moment we drove off the lot, the car started exhibiting alarming signs of transmission failure. Naturally, we reached out to the dealership, only to be met with unwavering insistence that their inspection had been meticulous and the car was in pristine condition. Our suspicions were further aroused when I requested a copy of the inspection report, only to find out that it boasted of new windshield wipers being installed. Spoiler alert: they most definitely were not. Both wiper blades looked like they had seen better days, with rubber hanging off them like forlorn tendrils. Undeterred, we took the car back to the dealership for a diagnostic test to pinpoint the transmission issue. Despite mounting evidence suggesting a more serious problem, Ken Garff remained fixated on the idea that only a valve body needed replacement. Their insistence on this fix, despite my husband—bless his mechanical expertise—knowing otherwise, was a baffling display of stubbornness veiled in a veneer of concern. Thankfully, we followed our instincts and opted not to replace the valve body, a decision that would have been futile given the true extent of the issue. And sure enough, just two weeks later, the transmission gave up the ghost. Upon replacement, it was abundantly clear that the transmission had endured a catastrophic failure. The fluid resembled a black murky abyss (should be bright cherry red), filled with visible metal flakes—a telltale sign of neglect or oversight during the supposed inspection. The subsequent repair set us back a staggering $5,000+, a hefty price to pay for a lesson in the importance of skepticism and second opinions. While Ken Garff Dealership may pride themselves on their facade of kindness, their dismissal of our concerns and insistence on superficial fixes left us feeling like mere pawns in a high-stakes game of automotive roulette."
