"I love the people and the service that I get at the 6th Ave. Smith's Pharmacy!"
"I live roughly 2 blocks from this pharmacy, and was happy at first for the convenience, and the then courteous staff. A woman with brown hair and glasses, maybe 40ish, began working there, and everything changed. I am a recovering addict, and I am prescribed meds which help in my efforts to remain clean and sober. I also suffer from PTSD and general anxiety, for which I am prescribed medicinal aids. I also have ongoing, degenerative back problems which cause me chronic pain. I refuse to take opioids because of my addictions, but I use alternative medication to address these persistent issues, which sometimes present themselves differently with time. The woman I referenced above began questioning me regarding my prescriptions in thinly veiled contempt, leaving me with no doubt that she was judging me, and looking down her nose at me. The last time I filled a script, she saw me and immediately began an animated, furtive discussion with another pharmacy employee who happened to be close by. They both turned their heads and looked at me and then looked quickly away, but not before I saw her roll her eyes. I have felt many times like initiating a conversation with her myself, in which I would liked to have explained to her that, were she to have known the man I was scarcely 2 years ago, she would recognize how much progress I have made in both recovery, and my ability to cope with my anxiety and feelings of being overwhelmed.... all facilitated greatly by the meds she begrudgingly hands over to me. I deserve better. It's hard work to have come this far. There are good staff there, and I hope she won't contaminate the pool. Let us be more kind toward one another, especially when we feel judgmental. We don't know what the other may be dealing with."
"I just hung up with someone in the pharmacy whose name was Joe. He was very uninterested unkind, and not helpful. The head pharmacist, a woman, is even worse. If you use a Smith's pharmacy, go to the one on 5th South. You will be much better served!"
"When I forgot my wallet and needed an insulin pen from Smith's, the pharmacy gave me a pen and let me pay the next day. They take a lot of time on the phone when I have questions, and I feel like they do their best to help the community around them. Nobody's perfect, but the intentions are there and I appreciate it."
"Pharmacy Review: Terrible service now, sad because I've had great experiences with this pharmacy in the past. Won't be going back. Will really miss the kind pharmacy techs but NOT the rude and unkind new manager. Got a text that said my medication was on backorder from the manufacturer. Called for updates and 2 weeks after my prescription was filed they told my Dr. should send my medication to a new pharmacy because they weren't accepting new patients. NO one contacted my Dr.'s office when the script was sent over. Texts said I just had to wait. VERY frustrating. Even on the phone they were pretty rude and not understanding. Won't be coming back (which is what they wanted anyway I guess.) Just would have preferred to be treated kindly and with understanding. I'm not a medical professional, I don't know how this works and they shouldn't expect patients to know things if they don't tell them."
