"We had a problem with the parts supplier. The went way beyond what I would have expected them to do. Very friendly, amazing to work with. Highly recommend this this place of business. I have only had my vehicle back for 3 days but everything is working perfectly. Their customer service handling my parts problem was outstanding. Love this place!"
"Awesome place a few years ago. I wish so badly that I could give 5 stars. Roy has been so kind to us in the past. His daughter shuttled us around many times in her personal vehicle while our car was worked on. But when Roy began to spend less time there the quality tanked in parallel. I'm fairly certain Roy doesn't even know about the issues we've had since he took a less involved role. And from what I know of him, I think he'd be mortified if he did know. And I'm fairly certain Erica insulates him from that feedback. In August of 2021, we spent $8000 to fix a variety of issues with our XC90. By April of 2022, I had to bring it back for a warrantied repair. No problem there. However, as I drove home, the car was nearly uncontrollable and it made this loud, strange wobbling sound. I immediately took it to the nearest shop. They told me that my front wheels had not been bolted back on and if I had gone any faster than 35-40 mph, they would have come off. I notified Erica of this. I received no apology, no follow up. Nothing. In May of 2023 I brought the car back for yet another strange sound. Apparently it was an an engine mount. They said they fixed it. The sound persisted, spent another chunk of change fixing another problem that still doesn't appear to be fixed. In October of 2023, one of the expensive components that I had replaced as part of our large $8000-repair project in 2021 went out. This part, the blower motor, is absolutely critical for safe driving this time of year. Erica spent a week supposedly hunting down the part needed. I spent that week basically stranded because I could not defrost my windows. Why did it take a week? She said it was because she was having a hard time finding the part. I later found out that was a lie. She was not tracking down the part. She was on vacation. I heard her tell her coworkers that while I sat and waited on them to diagnose the issue. She claimed to have the same issue when I told her the heater began working again so it appeared to just be the connector piece to the blower motor. She also said Roy did not want to warranty this repair even though we've been absolutely loyal to this man and his family for the better part of a decade. So they want another $2500 to fix something they fixed barely two years prior and that does not have 12,000 miles against it. A few years ago I would have been happy to refer someone here. Now I can't. Something is up with Erica and the folks they have working in the shop are not professionals (Re: letting me drive off the lot with unsecured wheels)."
"Two of the biggest issues of finding a mechanic is finding one that is competent and trustworthy. I have been bringing my vehicles to Roy for what seems like a decade now. He is a wizard mechanic worth every penny. Moreover, I trust Roy completely. Not once has he tried to upsell a questionable service or use inferior parts. His rates are fair and he is a great man to be around."
"When I temporarily moved back to the area I was so happy I could bring my car to Roy's Auto again for a while before making my next permanent move. And before making that move I had them do a full inspection and as always was very happy with their honest, no pressure approach with their results and they even waived my inspection fee this time. With the service I opted to take care of before I left, their charge amount was great and they even discounted one of the services. They completed the service in a timely fashion and my car had a smooth, worry-free drive during the 1400 mile trip when I moved. Thank you again Roy's Auto for always being a high quality, honest car mechanic shop! And they work on all types of vehicles - not just Volvos. I have a Honda. I will miss you guys again!"
