"Staff were friendly and knowledgeable on my demo drive, and were able to answer a lot of questions and show me a couple different vehicles to help me get a feel for what I was looking for. Very impressed with the vehicles, definitely worth checking out!"
"I wouldn’t rely on this service center for anything. Overall, my experience has been a complete joke. About 2 months ago I received a call from Rivian saying they would like to replace my bed cover even though mine was functioning perfectly fine. They said that this one would be for free and they would be able to finish it anywhere from one to three hours. It would be a quick replacement. I agreed and set up an appointment. Our appointment came in December and I received a text message that they would need to hold my vehicle from 24 to 48 hours in the shop as they replace the cover. I gave them a call and they stated they were sorry and would give me an Uber credit to go wherever I wanted, Wally repaired the vehicle over the next two days. I live an hour and a half away from the service center and said I would need a replacement vehicle or rental of some kind. That person said they would talk to their manager and call me back within the next day. after a day, I didn’t hear back from them gave them a call back had a different representative tell me about the same thing and then said they were sorry and would give me a call back letting me know they would know what their manager says, and they didn’t call me back for over a day. I was getting frustrated at this point call them again. Next representative told me they would call me back within the next hour. I waited 6 six hours didn’t hear anything back when I called the last time they apologize and said they cannot give me a rental car or a replacement vehicle. I said fine I didn’t want to replace the cover then the service manager from Salt Lake called me personally and said that they would be able to get it done same day within four hours set up an appointment two weeks later for 8 AM in the morning. That was today got up and drove an hour and a half to the appointment to be there first as they said and to get my vehicle in after I showed up there is a commotion the service manager came out said that I need to be charged for a key so they can service the vehicle, I apologize for not bringing a spare key off to just have my phone turn on the vehicle instead did this roundabout dance where they finally said sorry we don’t have our technician in that can’t have the temporary key service so we offered to charge you for an extra key we will cover the charge. After in the back for a long time they came back out told me that they won’t be able to take my vehicle in until 10 AM and then they said that my car most likely wouldn’t be finished that day that I would need to come back another day. What a clown show and extremely poor customer service. They don’t care at all about the time or the resources their customers have. I guarantee if I was going to buy a new Rivian from them, it would bend over backwards, but when it comes to actually servicing your vehicle, which they instigated, by the way, it doesn’t matter to them."
"Rivian in Boise was a very interesting experience. This is not to be confused with a poor experience. I was treated very kindly. Do not go into Rivian expecting this to be like any other car buying experience. You reserve a demo to drive a car and when you arrive you check in just inside, there is barely anywhere to wait. Unlike Tesla, there is not any coffee that you can make for yourself or anything like that. It just feels like a small executive office and that's pretty much it. Where I will say they shine is the demo drive experience. They're very good at explaining the truck, the features, and answering any questions. Driving a Rivian is a blast, but the customer experience overall leaves much to be desired. I believe this brand is more for people who are already committed and have done their own research. Because they were exceptional at really going into great detail I give this location and experience a 4 out of 5."
"First off, let me state that my Rivian R1S is the best vehicle I have ever owned! BUT there are still some kinks that Rivian is working on ironing out as they ramp up production, deliveries and service. The people at the Rivian Service Center have been amazing to work with but the process definitely is experiencing some growing pains. Katie (service manager) was responsive and focused on me as a customer by addressing any concerns and questions I had. While my R1S was at the center for warranty work, they made sure I had alternate transportation available. When I first got my vehicle earlier this year, the only way to contact the salt lake service center was to first go through rivian general customer service numbers. Recently Katie was available by text so I didn’t have to go through the mess of general customer service each time for just a minor communication item. Soooooo much more efficient, (I would love to see communication with the service center within in the Rivian app so it’s in a centralize and convenient place) The major growing pain Rivian is experiencing right now is “wait times”. The service centers are 2 to 3 months out for most appointments. As Rivian ramps up and refines production techniques, the amount of vehicles leaving Normal Illinois with minor issues should be reduced. That combined with the service center becoming more efficient and additional centers opening, I would hope that service appointment wait time will be reduced significantly in the years to come. I love my Rivian and am stoked to be part of the entire Rivian family. I’m here for the adventure and experience of growing together. Thanks! But hopefully our interactions are extremely limited over the years. (Maybe to just top of my windshield wiper fluid with that amazing smelling OEM fluid) :)"
"I had a great experience with the service center. It was super easy to schedule an appointment. I like that all of the details show up in the app when you schedule and then the receipt. The staff was very friendly and a cozy lobby. Impressive how polished given how new the company is."
