"We purchased a 2018 Audi Q7 from Young Audi Layton. We found that it had a broken seat heater after we left the dealership. We made an appointment to have this looked at, something they promised would be diagnosed the same day. They didn’t even look at or move the vehicle that day and then kept the vehicle for several more days to diagnose. When they did diagnose the problem, the part had to be ordered from Germany and wouldn’t be available for about 3 weeks, which wasn’t a big deal at all. However, after waiting for around 5 weeks, we called to check on the status and they hadn’t even ordered the part. Once the part was in and we returned for repairs, they once again kept the vehicle past their promised completion date. Our second experience was more recent for a simple oil change and tire rotation. We made an appointment and arrived on time. We then waited 2 hours past the appointment time for them to take 12 minutes to change the oil before they closed. I overheard the service technician and service advisor having a disagreement about whether they’d even do it that day because it was so close to closing time, but the advisor somehow convinced the tech to do it. They also said they rotated the tires, however I don’t believe they did as I’d just had a flat repaired and that tire was in the same position as before. After leaving the service center, the vehicle began to run very rough and the check engine light came on. After parking, shut down was incredibly rough and the engine shutting down shook the entire vehicle. The technicians didn’t replace the oil cap and left it sitting on the plastic trim in the engine bay. I drove on the freeway after leaving the dealership and easily could have lost the cap or destroyed other parts in the engine with the cap loose to hit moving parts. Dirty oil from the cap was left on the plastic trim as well. I also found oily boot prints on my tan interior on the drivers side. This service was absolutely unacceptable and did not represent what I expect from the Audi brand or any dealership service center. While sitting there waiting for this, I heard at least 3 other customers who had experienced extremely long wait times or had clear and valid concerns with the services that were performed. Every experience I have had with the Young Audi service center has shown a lack of care and competence. Although I still have 7 free oil changes remaining, I won’t return to Young Audi and will not recommend Young Dealerships to anyone. If you use them, you could be risking damage to your vehicle."
"Absolute WORST experience of my life! I took my car in for shifting issues and was informed I needed a new transmission. I got a quote for what I understood was a NEW transmission. I paid them upfront to fix my car and the day I was supposed to pick it up i was informed it was leaking! My transmission was not leaking before i took it in. Confused I asked for clarification on how a new transmission was leaking and that is when i was informed they put a USED one in! I was never given an option of new or used transmission at all! I was given a quote and was told it would be fixed but it in fact was not. They told me they wanted more money for the labor to warranty out the transmission! I told them i would not pay more money than i already had. They warrantied out the transmission for free and then they told me that the 2nd warrantied transmission didnt have 1st gear! Really confused I got in contact with better business bureau and they would not back down wanting 3k to warranty it out for another USED transmission! I was looking for other options to get my car away from this place and fixed correctly. I called the day I was looking to get my vehicle away from this place and I asked if my car was driveable without having first gear to avoid towing. I was then informed that the same transmission without first gear also didnt have second gear! I questioned it and said that I had been told it was only missing first gear. The girl told me "oh well i heard from someone it was missing first gear and someone else saying its missing 1st and 2nd gear im not sure what it is missing" how do you NOT know what your techs are doing when customers trust you with their vehicles and your story changes everyday! Needless to say i drove my car just fine to this place and then all of a sudden i cant drive it! Im glad i got my car away from this place as soon as i could! I will NEVER reccomend going here for anything service wise on your car! They dont have their story straight and will charge you different prices everyday for used parts and their communication sucks! If i could i would leave 0 star rating! Absolutely discusting"
"This dealership and service department have been completely shady in all of our business dealings. When I purchased the car a couple of years ago, the sales department initiated fees and charges that are not standard to a car dealership purchase. I came back the next day to comb through the contract with them, explaining that I did not approve some of the “extra fees” that was the sum of hundreds of dollars. Fast forward to my experience with the service department. I heard a noise coming from the front driver side. After the diagnostic, the problem was concluded and quoted at $2600, which seems very high for the minor problem. I know Audi is an expensive car to fix, I’ve owned a few, but this seemed ridiculous. They also did a lot of up sales, which was also expected, but excessive. I decided to pick up my car the next day to have it repaired elsewhere. In my total diagnostic that he said came to “$180 plus tax is “$212). When I saw she the receipt there was “$18 Misc charge”. It’s not the amount .. but the principle of sneaking in another unauthorized amount. He said, “I don’t have to read every line to you” and that it was for gloves etc. Finally, when I got back in my car I noticed my car on the passenger side had paneling hanging and has not even been put back together to be returned after the diagnostic. Beware! Do not patronize this dealership or service department. The ethics, customer service and quality are absolutely lacking!!"
"This is the worst business I have ever dealt with. Had a car towed in for repair due to broken hub and wheel lugs. Informed them of the issue yet they still drove the car on the lot causing the wheel to fall off and significantly damaging the car. The service manager, Garth, stated they would not take responsibility for the damage they caused. This is unbelievable. Stay away from this dealership!"
