"I visit this camp off and on when I attend an annual astronomy event hosted there. For astronomy this place is a great location away from all the light pollution and with enough infrastructure to make a multi day experience a comfortable one. Located just a few miles from the New Mexico border and Colorado border this is a pretty remote place. Your nearest gas stations and restaurants are a half hour drive away. The property is well maintained and offer everything needed to host a nice event at a remote away from the city location. The Black Mesa park located nearby is a nice place to go and wander around. Other things like indian ruins, a dormant volcano caldera and nature paths are day trips away from this location which makes it a decent place to camp or attend events."

"This is where the Church of Christ meets yearly for a Bible camp. I was a teacher for the first time last year and even though I was nervous I had a great time. It is a good place for children to get away from the cares of the world for a week and to be emersed in the presence of God. God bless all the staff for volunteering their time and energy for the sake of Christ and may God bless the children as they learn of Christ our Savior."

Usually great clear skies and great company from fellow Southwest travelers to the area . please get gas as the nearby hamlet of Kenton Oklahoma has no gas stations and the nearest ones are over 60 to 75 Miles away in Clayton new Mexico and Boise city oklahoma . enjoyed it to the fullest"
