"An amazing place with amazing team members. From the entrance into the beautiful new facility and the greetings from the front desk, to the incredible Josh who brought our Charlotte up on the sit ski. He made us completely comfortable, and went out of his way to give Charlotte an adventurous day on the slopes of PC, while still making sure we could ski together with Charlotte as a family. Many thanks to all of the team members at this truly wonderful establishment, making dreams come true."
"The staff are all very friendly and well trained in helping others with disabilities. The place is fantastic so much fun with a lot of activities to do. The mountain bike e-assist is exhilarating to ride! Sled hockey is also fun, but requires you to use all your core muscles. The challenge course is very scary especially if you're afraid of heights. After a while you might feel a little comfortable, but still on edge. The zip line was fun after I got the courage to go for it! We will definitely be coming back. I recommend everyone give this place a shot, especially if you have a disability. I guarantee you'll have a blast!"
"My Snowboard instructor Liz was an excellent tour guide for PCMR! Going to the Equisetum program for vets was an amazing experience as well! Love the NAC"
"I want to start by saying I really agree with what the NAC does. It's very important to include people with disabilities in sports, and this center TRIES to do a good job with it. I'm afraid however they fall short. It seems very preformative instead of helpful. I have a temporary disability, and had to attend a mandatory team building at the NAC. I approached my direct boss, and she very positively told me that "this is the national ability center they will accommodate you" but they did not. I was told pretty immediately that they only accomodations are for permanent disabilities. We listened to a talk, about how not to be ableist, and I had to laugh a little bit to myself since the whole institution is indeed ableist, against anything thats seen as "temporary" Along with the temporary physical disability, I have several mental ones. I was told my disability didn't need to be accomodated, and then 20 minutes later had to listen to several people talk about how all disabilities deserve accomodations."
