"The way children and horses should be treated - with love and mutual respect! My son has had lessons with Patricia (and staff) for several years now and is still learning and thriving. Extended family and friends can always tell when it was a “horse day” because my son’s demeanor is visibly uplifted and he almost glows with positive energy. He struggles with mood and attention issues but both have improved noticeably since beginning lessons! We have also boarded with Schow’s for a little over a year now and our horse is treated like a member of the family. Patricia knows how much to push and when to ease back, she’s also the first to notice if our horse is feeling off or needs anything. She has a well practiced but also deeply intuitive method of interacting with the horses and we are always impressed by her. For those of you wondering about price, she is more than fair — her pricing is highly competitive with other barns and instructors in the area!
