Reviews of Premier Ballroom and Dance Academy
"Love this dance studio. My teenage boys were skeptical, but now they love taking ballroom dance. The teachers are awesome, and the owner is wonderful. I can't say enough good about this place. If you're looking for a dance class this is the place!!"
"I love this ballroom studio. It has amazing teachers who push you to get better. I have learned so much from them and dancing there. They have a variety of classes for all ages and levels."
"Some people here are good, but most students tend to follow in the footsteps of the owner. Behavior includes but isn't limited to vindictive, manipulative, selfish, and outright disrespect for some people. I was manipulated into staying on the Gold team for a whole season, paying the most expensive tuition and giving more gut to my own dancing than the whole team combined. I may not be born with a natural talent for dance but that doesn't excuse reluctant and childish behavior during classes. Coaches deserve respect and silence, which high schoolers cannot preform due to immaturity. I wanted to quit a long time ago, but the owner encouraged me to stay on the team. I loved my team despite the child like behavior commonly displayed, I stayed for the team and the love of dance. This led to me ultimately realizing that the owner of the company just wanted my money. She didn't want me to dance, and she had given my spot away at the beginning of the season. If the owner had any sense of integrity, she would take care of her students instead of manipulating them and stealing their money. On top of this, painting the students parents as enemies. The owner said to me and I quote, "You are a good kid, so don't grow up to be like your dad." The owner had disrespected my family, and then proceeded to threaten to remove my brother from his team. The dancers there are talented, but at times disrespectful, and the influence that Laura Balmaceda, one of the coaches, has on them is impeccable and amazing. In contrary, the owner is nothing but vindictive, greedy, and a liar. Dance is important to me and people like me, but the right to happiness shouldn't be derived from your students. Please, use another studio if you don't want your children to be influenced in any negative way."
"I am a professional dancer with a lifetime of experience. If you are looking for a quality studio to be part of, then Premier Ballroom Academy is the place for you. They are competitive, fun, and extremely experienced in all things ballroom. The new owner has worked day and night to make high quality upgrades, including new professional dance floors, taking down and putting up new walls, fresh paint, new furniture, new costumes, new storage facilities, and new up-to-date systems for running and operating a professional studio. The quality of instruction and opportunities is equally impressive. I have seen and been part of many studios, and the world will come to know the new Premier Ballroom Academy, located in Davis County, as a dance studio of excellence. Don't miss out!"
"We absolutely love Premier Ballroom Academy! The coaches are fantastic and love the kids! The owners are devoted, talented, and knowledgeable. Together, They work incredibly hard to meet the needs of each dancer and their families. They offer a safe space for kids of all talents, abilities, and beliefs to express themselves and grow in the art of ballroom. We highly recommend this studio!"
