Shamus Haws Horsemanship

"We purchased a gelding from shamus in 2020. We brought him home and did groundwork with him. Shamus had an injury and couldn’t start him in the time frame we wanted and referred us to another gentleman. Fast forward to this year and I decided to get another young one from shamus. We attended the colt starting and horsemanship clinic this last weekend. All I can say is I wish we would have waited for him to start our gelding. He did more for both the horse and my wife in 3 days then the previous trainer did in a year. Literally night and day difference. I have never seen anyone that could read the body language of a horse (and rider) like shamus. I highly recommend his clinics, training, and Running U brand horses!"

"This was an amazing clinic, I couldn't have been more happy with it! Before signing up for the clinic I was very hesitant, I'm not a very confident person with horses and wasn't sure if going to a clinic would help me at all. I've had a fear of horses since I was young and have only started to get more comfortable around them over the past couple of years. On Friday morning I was so nervous I wasn't sure how I was going to make it through the weekend, by Saturday evening not only was I happy to have joined the clinic but I realized how much fun it was and that I wasn't nervous at all when I left. Not only did I learn a ton from this clinic, Shamus was very willing and able to help any of us if/when we had any sort of issue. He worked on some basic ground work techniques with the horses, how to lower your horses head to make it easier to put the headstall on, to working cattle in the arena. He wanted us all to push our comfort level a bit, we we're a bit hesitant at first but when it was all said and done we all had the best time! It was great working with Shamus and I look forward to taking more clinics with him, or scheduling more training sessions."

"I recently attended the women’s confidence building clinic with Shamus Haws and wow! I can’t say enough good things! I wasn’t raised with or around horses but I married into a horse/rodeo family so I am just now starting to learn how to ride. Shamus was absolutely amazing with his wealth of knowledge, his patience, and his understanding of all of the ladies at the clinic and what we each were wanting to accomplish. I learned so much and I am now excited to be on a horse and feel I know much more about how to handle them on the ground and in the saddle.
