"Replaced a liner. It leaked. Came out a couple of times but could not locate. I eventually found it myself and had another firm repair the leak. S&S did a poor job installing, was unable/unwilling to remedy the defect, and were condescending. Ultimately, they would not respond and, of course, would not compensate for our expenses and time. Do not recommend."

"How this company is still in business I have no idea. Just read the reviews! We had our pool installed in 2020 and since have had to have a plumber come snake our sewer line every 4-5 months and most recently 4 times in the past 5 weeks because they rerouted the sewer lines incorrectly. Now we are having to get our yard tore up to fix their incorrect shotty work. Best part is when I called of course Melissa pushed me off immediately to Steve. When I called Steve he tried blaming it on other people, told me he was retired, and then could not even tell me if he used a license plumber or not. Are you kidding me? Steve is rude & he was not willing to listen or offer anything except rude and accusations on everyone else. No accountability. Would not use this company."

"My husband and I hired S&S Pools to put in our vinyl, in ground pool. If you are looking for a company that will start your pool and then disappear for days or weeks, this company is perfect for you. They made several verbal promises to us and backed out on most of them. They ruined not only our grass, which we expected, but our neighbors as well. Steve promised to "fix the neighbors yard by rolling out sod and making it look nice", but in the end we were made to fix that problem. We explained to them ahead of time our concerns about our backyard drainage problems. Steve told us we didn't need a retaining wall, even though we had that in the contract. When our pool was finally finished , almost 3 months after it started, (they told us it would take three weeks) it rained at our house. All of the mud around our pool, because we didn't have a retaining wall, proceeded to go into our pool. We had over an inch of mud on the bottom of our pool. Melissa comes to "train" us on our pool equipment and chemicals the next day, because Steve will tell you "he has no idea how to use the equipment and has no knowledge of how to use the chemicals". When Melissa arrived, she ran quickly through what she knew and said, "your pool looks really green. That is unfortunate." Did she do anything to help us? No, but she did shock the pool. Why do you shock the pool, when the problem is the mud at the bottom? Shouldn't that come after the mud is removed? Concrete around the pool started developing cracks the day after they poured and the concrete is as shallow as 1 inch deep in some places because they didn't properly grade the land. They also poured concrete over the drain clean outs for the house as well as numerous sprinkler heads. Speaking of sprinklers, they completely ruined our system to the point the front yard sprinklers no longer work. Again at our expense to fix. The equipment installation was a mess. The equipment is not properly installed and the distance between each piece is not adequate and is difficult or impossible to service. The heater is installed so close to the filter it is causing excessive buildup from high heat. Oh and the filter they provided is a cartridge filter (instead of a more appropriate sand filter) which has proven to be an incessant task to clean especially given the mud issues noted above. We weren't provided any guidance on the equipment, it was just installed. Steve is also not a plumber and it is obvious upon viewing the completed equipment installation. Again, if this is what you expect from a pool company, S&S Pools is for you."

"The process of having our in-ground, salt water pool with a vinyl liner installed by S&S was extremely pleasant and we would highly recommend them. Their staff was professional and knowledgeable; they did a great job managing our expectations and preparing us for each phase of the installation process, as well as educating us on maintaining our pool after it was complete. We had a specific design in mind, and S&S worked with us on configuring it to fit within the space we have in our backyard and explained how they would pour the concrete to prevent drainage issues all before we broke ground. What set S&S apart from other pool companies that we had considered was their responsiveness—they actually took our phone calls and answered our questions before AND after we signed a contract. Finally, they are reasonably priced—we were able to get our pool heated with a slide for less than what some other pool companies quoted us for just the pool alone."
