"Full disclosure, I'm not really a sushi guy. But I always come here with someone who is, and they say the sushi is amazing. What I know is their pork dumplings and short ribs are something I look forward to. I'm not from Utah but I come in about once a year for work. And I make sure I hit this spot every single time because I like it that much. The first time I came, it was with hesitancy because I didn't do sushi. I tried some for the first time and didn't dislike it but I also ordered the two appetizers that I mentioned above and absolutely loved them. So full of flavor. Definitely check this place out, even if you don't consider yourself a sushi person."
"The best sushi I’ve had in a long time! The flavors were so spot on. The atmosphere was full of art and character. The service was fantastic. I think this is my new favorite place!"
"Had my reservations about eating at a somewhat large Japanese restaurant that felt a bit on the trendy side with what looked like no Japanese chefs or servers. My colleagues went there the night before and they are kind of foodies so I decided to join for night #2. Food was amazing, service was quick and they were very attentive, and the vibe was chill and comfortable. I would go again and it's a short walk from the Grand America Hotel. Totally worth it."
"We walked in and had to wait 30ish minutes for our table. Which is fine because it seemed like a well rated and popular restaurant. The service was also good. And the restaurant is clean and well decorated. But let’s get to the main thing- the food: how is it when compared to the wait time and price? Apps: Sashimi was good quality so phew! Calamari was not that good. It wasn’t well seasoned and had a hard and chewy texture. Can’t really describe it but it just wasn’t it. Sushi: We got the rainbow roll, samurai, and Tasmanian devil. The rolls were OKAY at best. Not amazingly yummy but not bad either. But that’s not really what I want after waiting that long or paying that price. I could get similar quality at a less nicer place. Noodles: ordered chicken vermicelli. This was great but also interesting! Wasn’t anything like authentic vermicelli noodles (the way it’s prepared at Vietnamese restaurants), which I guess it’s because this is a fusion restaurant, but tasted great! Surprisingly, the star tonight! Would I go back? Probably not. Should you visit? Yes! If not for the sushi then for the noodles and the ambiance. And perhaps they have better sushi on their menu than the ones we tried."
