"Lifestar seems to be coming under fire for a connection to the "therapist" that was a accomplice in the 8 passengers child torture case. However that is not the primary reason to avoid them. Anyone can hire a someone who they later find out is a terrible person. This company, however, is NOT the innocent victim of coincidentally a criminal used to work for them. They are a masquerading as a mental health organization that is following actual healthy practices in regards to treatment and sexual health. They absolutely are not and their practices of shaming and blaming is repulsive. They have a history of making normal human sexuality out to be a deep and disturbing mental illness. They are very clearly using religious beliefs wrapped in a thin veil of being somehow actual therapeutic advice, valid diagnostic statuses, and based in medical knowledge. The vast majority of the mental health professionals community will tell you this type of "therapy" is not based on our current knowledge of best practices in mental health treatment, it is unhealthy and unsafe."
